I'm counting on it

Newt POV
It had been a good few hours and was getting dark but Aurora was still no where to be seen. I love her and trust her but she always comes back before it gets dark.

"Hey Tommy?!" I called to Thomas.

"Yeah," he called from the couch.

"Have you seen Aura?" I asked.

"No, why?" Thomas asked putting his book down to look at me.

"Cause she hasn't come back yet and-" Thomas cut me off.

"She'll be fine. She can take care of herself," he explained stopping me in my tracks.

I started to fiddle with my hands as Teresa walked in. She'd come to help find Lilly, along with all the other gladers and to be honest she had changed.

"What's wrong Newtie?" She asked and Thomas gave her a strange look.

Ok, so Teresa used the nickname Aurora used for me and she didn't know Teresa was here. I was planning to keep it that way but now Thomas had found out and Aurora was going to as well.

"Aurora is gone," I told her looking down.

She grabbed my hands and held them in her own. Thomas looked at us skeptically and I eyed him.

"What?" I asked.

"You and Teresa!" He snapped.

"I'm not with Teresa! I love Aurora and would never cheat on her!" I snapped back.

"Why's she holding your hands then!" He yelled.

I froze. He had a point. I snatched my hands away and Teresa glared at me. I smiled and walked around her and over to Thomas. I turned back to see Teresa leave the room and I let out a breath I didn't notice I'd been holding in.

"You have to tell Aurora." Thomas mentioned.

"I don't have to tell her anything," I said fiddling with my hands again.

Thomas rolled his eyes and looked back at his book.

"Fine, I'll tell her," I mumbled walking up to Aurora's room.

"Hey, I didn't say you had too." Thomas called out.

I scoffed at his comment and grabbed one of Aurora's shirts that she'd used the other day. It still smelled of her perfume. I missed her, I mean yeah she had been gone for like 5 hours but I still wanted her right now in my arms, as cringe as it may sound I needed her.

"NEWT! OUR GIRLS ARE ON THE TV!!!" Thomas yelled.

I threw Aurora's shirt on the chair and ran downstairs. There on the TV was a picture of Aurora and Lilly. Lilly was slicing off a guys head while her hair and eyes were a pearly white and Aurora was holding a bloody heart as the guy fell to the ground, her eyes and hair glowing their sickening blue.

"What's happened to them?!" I mumbled.

Aurora POV
Oh this felt great. Killing people for fun made me want to jump for joy. Lilly and I had just killed a whole street, men, women and children included. It was ours now and we made sure to keep it hidden from the world and the avengers, especially the avengers. I put a spell over the street and brought the ghosts of the residents back to life so the street looked reasonably normal. Lilly and I were now in one of the houses we had claimed planning our next attack.

"Here," I said pointing to a spot on the map. "No one will be expecting that."

Lilly nodded.

"We will go in and kill a giant group of people but take a few hostages because why not. Then maybe we can lure the avengers in before leaving them there with the dead hostages," I described smirking.

"Yeah I agree. We can tease the avengers and leave..." I heard nothing else as my mind wandered back to the compound subconsciously.

Newt was standing there with tears in his eyes as he stared at our figures on the TV screen. Jarvis had found us and shown the avengers to warn them about the things we could do. I gasped and stumbled backwards, coming back to reality and bumping into the chairs and tables behind me.

"You ok?" Lilly asked looking at me from her spot at the table.

"They know," I told her.

"Wha-how?!" She yelled slamming her fists on the table that held the map we had.

"Jarvis," I said simply looking up to glare at her.

"Take Jarvis out then continue with your plan," she snapped walking out.

As soon as the door clicked shut I collapsed onto the floor, my eyes flickering blue. The barrier spell I put over the street was draining me as well as keeping the souls of the people alive. I became tired easier and found it harder to concentrate on easy things like I used to be able to do. I felt like Lilly was taking control of the ship and I was sick of it. I finally gained the courage and grabbed the silver knife from my thigh strap and stood up off the floor. I wasn't going to kill Lilly I was just going to poison her so she could realise who the strongest and most powerful is. I stalked out the room and behind Lilly who was hunched over another table. I silently coated the knife in the poison I had strapped against my chest and plunged it into her left hip. She screamed and collapsed to the ground as I pulled the knife back out and used magic to twirl it around my fingers.

"What the hell Aurora!?" She shouted.

"I'm bringing the barrier down and letting the souls roam free." I growled before adding. "Oh and the poison will wear off in 20 minutes."

"They'll find us," Lilly said as I walked towards the door, my black heels clicking against the floor as I went.

I turned back to her and smirked widely.

"Oh I'm counting on it," I muttered loud enough to for her to hear me.

Newt POV
I was devastated. My girlfriend? A cold blooded murderer? Killer? What had happened when she left? I stood looking at the screen as tears silently poured down my face.

"What did I do?" I mumbled.

"This isn't your fault!" Tony exclaimed running in. "Aurora was practically destined for this, something took control over Lilly to bring out the monster inside her."

"She's not a monster!" I snapped.

"Does that look like human to you!" Tony yelled pointing at Aurora on the screen.

I shook my head and looked down.

"Sir, I'm picking up a signal from downtown," Jarvis stated.

"Where?" Tony asked.

"Orchid street," Jarvis echoed.

"Aurora?" Tony asked deep in thought.

"Yes sir," Jarvis replied. "She seems to be preparing for something."

"She'll be preparing for us," Tony mumbled before calling out. "Avengers! Prepare for battle!"

"W-wait! We're going to war with my girlfriend!?" I yelled.

"Correction, we are going to war with the devil," Tony said.

"And my girlfriend!" Thomas yelled.

"Trust me, we don't want to harm them but if we have to we will," Tony said.

I guess that was it. We were going to war with to female supernatural beings. This is not going to end well.
