We're back

Aurora POV
The wolves had laid down a while a go and I too Thomas and Newt they could leave if they wanted, but they refused telling me they didn't want me to be alone with wolves. Thomas sat and leaned again the white eyed wolf while Newt and I leaned against the other. I had my eyes shut, thinking about how to get out when suddenly the wolf behind me howled.

"It's ok," I said, spinning around to stroke it's fur.

The white eyed wolf suddenly leapt up and ran out, soon followed by its blue eyed partner. Confused, I stood up only to be pulled back down by Newt.

"Don't. They're doing something," he said.

I nodded and started up a conversation with the two, talking about how life was here and what Lilly and I did for them to hate us both so much.

"So you hate us because we made fun of you then started going out with Brandon and Jacob?" I clarified.

"Yeah," Thomas replied.

I laughed and nodded. Then my laugh turned into a chuckled then turned into a giggle as I felt my body slip out of my control.

"I'm still hanging out with you two? Gosh that sucks," I mumbled standing up.

"Aurora remember what I said, the wolves will come back when they're ready," Newt grabbed my wrist.

I reluctantly connected my fist with his cheek.

"Don't touch me lizard," I snarled, going to walk off.

On the inside I was screaming for control, my heart was pounding against my chest but outside I didn't pay any attention to it. Suddenly I was tackled to the floor by who I'm guessing was Thomas.

"Nope," he said as I opened my mouth.

"How'd you know what I was going to say Train?" I snickered at the nickname, then mentally reminded myself to apologise when I had control.

"Calm down," Newt snapped crawling over and lifting my face from the floor with his hands, then he relaxed his tone. "Calm down love."

Love. The nickname Newt gave me rang through my head like a bell and I fought to regain control, but I was unsuccessful.

"Tell the train to get off me, lizard," I spat.

Newt looked at me with hurt in his eyes but tried not to show it across all features.

"No," he mumbled leaning towards my ear. "Not until you snap out of it."

"Snap out of what? Hanging out with you? Because believe me, I don't want to." I smirked, knowing I'd caused him to hurt with the nicknames.

"Tommy, I have an idea. Sit her up," Newt told his friend.

Thomas got off my back and pulled me onto my knees, making sure not to lose grip of my wrists. Newt stood up and stared at me.

"I'm so going to regret this," I heard him mumble, before he slapped me across the face causing my head to turn to the side and a gasp to escape my lips.

"NEWT!" Thomas yelled letting go of me.

"Thanks," I said, gaining control and standing up, rubbing my cheek.

"Don't mention it," Newt whispered, turning to walk away.

"Newt?" I asked. "You know I didn't mean what I said right? That wasn't me speaking."

"Yeah," Newt mumbled, sitting next to the destroyed wall.

I walked over to sit in front of him. Reading his mind, I knew calling him those names hit a sensitive spot.
