Thomas POV (other reality)
After finally convincing Newt to help Aurora out we turned back to find her gone.

"AURORA?" I yelled out.

"Whelp, she's gone, we can't do anything about it." Newt smirked trying to walk off.

"No you don't," I said grabbing the back of his collar and dragging him deeper into the woods. "You may hate the girl and her guts but we should help her."

"Since when do we help people we hate, especially her?" Newt grumbled, tearing out my grip and walking beside me.

"Since we found Aurora huddled by that wall crying in a bra," I snapped. "Aren't you confused on why she came up to us and hugged us instead of yelling at us or threatening us not to tell anyone, cause I sure am?!"

"Yeah, I guess," Newt mumbled.

We walked around for a while longer until we caught a glimpse of a recognisable figure.

"Brandon," Newt growled.

Besides Aurora and Lilly, Brandon and his mate Jacob were our biggest enemies and have been since the start of high school when they 'accidentally spilt water on our pants and told everyone we'd wet ourselves. After the girls became their girlfriends we've hated them even more and the girls became another one of our enemies.

"C'mon, he might lead us to her," I whispered, crouching down and following after him.

Newt grumbled behind me and crouched down to follow me. Soon, we came to a lake that was frozen over and we stood up to walk over to the edge of the trees, seeing Brandon and Aurora. Aurora was in Brandon's arms as he carried her bridal style onto the lake, kissing her.

"See," Newt said. "Happy couple kissing on the lake." He gagged.

"No, look," I whispered, pulling him to the edge of the lake, only to see Brandon chuck Aurora onto the middle of the lake, causing a huge crack to echo across the clearing.

I stood in horror as Aurora looked up, an obviously scared look across her features as she looked over at us. Then the ice broke and she went under. Brandon walked away with a smirk across his stupid face, like he didn't care his girlfriend was in thin pants and a bra, probably freezing to death under the ice.

"Come on," Newt called out, grabbing me and running full speed to where Brandon had thrown Aurora. "Help me find her."

I found myself scurrying around on the lake, throwing anything in my way to the side. I looked over at Newt who was staring at the ice.

"Did you find her?!" I yelled over at him.

He shakes his head, "No."

"Then what is it?" I called, crawling over to look where he was.

There at the bottom of the lake was a skeleton, which was weird because no one liked to swim in this lake.

"I'm going in," Newt said, taking off his shoes and socks.

"Do you not see that skeleton?!" I yelled. "You could end up like that!"

"And so could Aurora if we don't find her, and as much as I hate her something about leaving her feels wrong," Newt replied taking off his jacket and throwing it to the side as he walked up to the hole in the ice Aurora had fallen through. "Help pull us out will you?"

"Newt you can't just-" I cut myself off at his glare. "Sure."

He then dropped into the water searching for the girl he hated.

Newt POV (other reality)
After I saw that skeleton all I could picture was Aurora sinking to the bottom and dying there. I couldn't get it out of my head, her body just laying there peacefully as she died. Even though I hated the girl with everything I had, something told me to save her and after Thomas agreed to pull us out I put my plan into action. The water was freezing.

No shit, it's ice water. I thought to myself as I searched for her.

There, sinking slowly to the bottom of the lake, was Aurora. Her hair was covering her face as she glided to the bottom, and I quickly swam over to grab her arm and pull her towards me. After I had a reasonable grip around her waist, I headed for the surface. I reached out the whole trying to grab the side when I felt Thomas's slightly warm hand grab my arm and yank me upwards. I gasped for air and turned around to drag an unconscious Aurora onto the frozen lake.

"Is she dead?" Thomas asked.

I felt for her pulse.

"She still has a pulse," I breathed. "We'll take her back to mine and try keep her alive."

"Wait," Thomas stopped me. "She's been under there for a while, shouldn't we do some sort of resuscitation?"

"What? Like CPR?" I asked and Thomas nodded. "I'm not putting my lips to hers."

"Well nor am I." Thomas snapped. "You saved her, so you should do it."

"But-"

"No buts, do it otherwise you'll be the cause of her death!"

I looked down at Aurora. She was pale and her lips were slightly blue. I scoffed and started CPR like how my parents taught me.

"Yep, so far so good Newt," Thomas said.

"Shush!" I shushed.

"Sorry, just trying to be supportive," Thomas mumbled.

By the end of it, I was ready to throw up. The mouth-to-mouth part was making my stomach churn. I mean, I hated this girl...didn't I?

"Dude, look!" Thomas suddenly pointed at Aurora's chest as it rise and fell. "Great job." He slapped me across the back and my stomach churned even more.

Suddenly Aurora coughed and turned onto her side as water burst from her mouth. She mumbled something I could barely make out.

"Newt?" She mumbled before her head dropped and she fell unconscious again.

Thomas and I sat there in shock.

"Why does she want you?" Thomas asked.

"I don't know but we should get out of here." I replied, reaching to grab her and pick her up bridal style.

Thomas grabbed my shoes, socks and jacket as we started out walk back to my house.

Natasha POV
"Well that was eventful," Tony said taking another sip of his third coffee.

"That it was," I mumbled.

Then Newt came bursting into the room.

"She said my name! She said my name!" He yelled.

"Calm down kid, we know. We watched the whole thing," Tony sighed.

"What do you mean you watched the whole thing?" Thomas asked walking in.

I clicked a button and the screen we were just watching popped up, showing the other reality Newt carrying an unconscious Aurora as he talked with Thomas, and Lilly who was asleep snuggled up with Jacob, unaware of her friends disappearance.

"What are they doing?!" Newt yelled throwing something at the screen only for it to go straight through.

"They saved her life," I said playing back the past few hours.

We rewatched what happened and the teens watched Aurora's movements. Ending on where they were now.

"So other me hates her but ends up saving her?" Newt asked.

"Yes," I responded.

"Can we stay here and watch so we know what's happening?" Thomas asked.

I looked at Tony, who shrugged. I sighed and looked back at the boys.

"I guess so."
