"Let's play, doggie."
With that, both the monster and Magnus dashed towards each other. 'Three heads against two... *cough* I mean one. Yeah, one head. Let's see who has big brain energy.' Magnus thought as he slid underneath the giant body of the monster. He had his scythe's blade aimed towards the stomach, but what happened next caught him by surprise.
Once he had slid out from under the monster, he stared at his weapon in shock; the scythe's blade looked as if it was filed down. "I guess they don't call you 'lord' for nothing, huh?" He asked the three-headed dog, its name [FROST LORD KERBEROS] above its three heads. He earned three huffs, one from each head. "Say, if ice doesn't work on you... what will? You don't expect me to punch you, right?"
Before Magnus could even continue, Kerberos had lunged at him already. The three heads aimed at both arms and head. Shocked by the speed, Magnus stumbled backward, allowing Kerberos to just pass him by. "Fuck, no wonder your name is still red. I barely dodged your attack."
Kerberos, angry that they missed, let out a howl.
*AAAWWWWOOOOOOOOH*
Their tail soon appeared on top of their heads, and with glowing eyes, it opened its mouth. 'Shit.' Dashing off, Magnus barely missed the laser that came out of the tail. In his place was a five-foot-tall ice shard. "Shit! Did the laser just freeze the air itself?!" He couldn't help but exclaim as he saw a small trail of ice shards falling from the air.
The howl stopped, and all three heads turned to look at the shard. The surprise could be seen in their eyes because usually, they end fights with that move. It is their one-hit k.o, and to know that a puny human managed to dodge that move infuriated them more.
Suddenly, a blizzard kicked up, with Kerberos at the center of it. 'Fuck, what is this mutt trying to do now?' Magnus had raised a dome to cover himself from the blizzard. Yes, he might be an ice mage, but that does not mean he is immune to the cold; he is just more resistant than the common folk. It's like saying you're immune to pain, but in actuality, you're just more resistant to it. 'Are the heads bickering with each other?' He thought as he saw the three heads barking at each other. He noticed that the middle head's eyes were glowing brighter than the other two.
'Glowing eyes... is that head the one that can control ice and snow? If so, then this became even easier.' Magnus dashed towards Kerberos with a smirk, a sword and shield in hand, instead of his usual scythe. Why? Simple, he can't defend himself with a scythe if his attack fails.
As he dashes towards the middle head, he jumps when he's near it. Once he jumped, that's when the snakehead launched another laser beam. Not being on the floor, Magnus panics as he lifts the shield he created. Due to the force of the two opposing forces, Magnus got sent backward towards a pillar. "Shit. Good thing I created that shield, or else. I'd be a popsicle right now."
Falling from the pillar, he expected to have a frozen arm. Why? Because the laser beam hit & destroyed the shield. Looking down, he was surprised that his arm was fine, only the shield got destroyed. 'What? How is this possible? I mean, I'm okay with it, but how did it happen?' He thought as he stood up from the floor. He didn't have enough time to process the thought because Kerberos lunged towards Magnus.
"Fuck dude, cant you give me a break?!" Magnus jumped to the side and punched him. To his surprise, Kerberos got sent sliding a few feet away. He had a small dent on his side, appearing to have sunk in. 'Cool, I guess the points I put into the Strength Stat didn't go to waste.' He thought as he stared at his fist and then at the dog that let out a yelp from being punched.
The snake tail raised its head again as it was ready to launch another laser beam at him. 'Fuck, I need to get rid of that snake... Should I try just to pull it out? It's gruesome, but it can get the job done... I think.'
