Back on Earth, half the planet was bathed in sunlight while the other half still had the beauty of the sky gracing it. In a country known as South Korea, the time was 04:45 A.M., meaning the moon was still out and shining in its full beauty. The capital of South Korea, Seoul, was known for its lively nightlife before the appearance of gates, and it still was, yet the streets seemed strangely empty. The businesses still had their neon signs on, illuminating the dark ends of the roads. Seoul's nightlife could be compared to the nightlife of America's entertainment capital, Las Vegas, yet its entertainment district had empty streets. While it would have been strange during the weekend, the current day was a weekday.

While it may have seemed strange for the entertainment district to be quiet, it was customary for the residential community to be calm at night; after all, many families with children live in this part of the city. Inside a particular apartment complex, a teenage girl could be seen exiting the restroom, yawning as she scratches her head and mumbling to herself. With eyes barely open, Jin-Ah was seen stumbling around, bumping into things as she exited the restroom and made her way toward her room.

"Ugh... Some strange dream made me lose sleep... I was dreaming of something cool before it, too... I think." Jin-Ah stretched as she made her way inside her room. Before crawling back into her bed, she looked at the clock. "Huh...? I must still be dreaming... Maybe it's one of those dreams inside dreams type of deal..." She told herself as she rubbed her eyes, reading the time the clock displayed.

It read 04:50 A.M. "Huh? Has Jin-Woo not come home yet? Is he still working? This late?" Jin-Ah wondered whether hunters were allowed to hunt this late. "He said he would be back before the night ends... So, I think he still has time left... Also, where's Magnus-Oppa?" She let her mind wander as she crawled into her bed, curling into a ball with the heavy animal blankets her Magnus-Oppa had taken out of storage. He claimed they were his mothers, and they worked wonders in the cold. Of course, no matter how suspicious Jin-Ah was about their rumored 'wonders,' she still accepted them since her Magnus-Oppa gave them to her.

She now regrets ever looking doubtful at the time since they work wonders in keeping you warm. "Or maybe he went with Magnus-oppa...? No, no. There's no way he'd ever leave me behind... Even if he did, he definitely would have been scolded by Magnus-Oppa and forced to come back for me..." Jin-Ah told herself as she slowly drifted back to sleep, still wondering where her two pillars of support could have gone. One had been gone for four days, while the other was late.

"Anyways... I definitely told them that there's a parent-teacher meeting today... Magnus-Oppa even freaked out about it... So that means they'll definitely come... right?" Jin-Ah muttered as she fell back into a deep sleep, completely unaware of the fact that her two Oppas were fighting for their lives.

The sun shimmered in the golden plain as it neared the horizon. The sandy dunes could have depicted the perfect picture of wanderlust, inviting many an adventurer to explore its many dunes and tempting many archeologists to uncover the many relics and ruins those golden hills hide. It could have been the perfect place to explore, and yet it was all destroyed by insects with sand-colored exoskeletons.

*SCRREEEEEECHH*

Another centipede rushed Jin-Woo, attempting to swallow him whole, its hideous mouth open wide as it lowered its body, paralleling the sandy plane underneath it. Before it could even reach him, the centipede suddenly lost the luster of life as it fell entirely to the ground. They say the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound, which seems to have been proven as the only evidence of the centipede being attacked was the flash of the sun striking against the metal of Jin-Woo's dagger before a loud sound rang out. That, and the fact that the head of the centipede was separated from the rest of the body, fell on the ground and skidded to a stop.
