DEFEATED WAVE 249. WAVE 250 SHALL COMMENCE.]

"Fuck... off... already..." Magnus huffed. His body covered in dried blood, his clothes almost nonexistent, replaced with a layer of ice protecting his body. His hair was disheveled, and his arctic blue eyes showed signs of fatigue. As a single gate materialized before him, Magnus suddenly received a different system prompt.

DAILY QUEST COMPLETED.

PLEASE SELECT YOUR REWARDS.]

"Fuck yeah. I haven't forgiven you for separating me from my baby, and I don't hate you any less system. But at least you show your usefulness now." Magnus cheered as he accepted all the rewards, which included his status recovery, just as the boss crossed. "Human, are you the reason for my summoning?" A majestic voice resounded. Stepping through the gate was a creature no shorter than the ice-mammoth matriarch; if anything, its horns added to its height, making it taller than the matriarch.

Standing before Magnus was a stag-like creature. Its fur gave a white luminescent color, obscuring its true color from prying eyes, its chest and neck covered by a cloth that had stars embedded in it, its four hooves seemingly combining with the floor, as if allowing access to the infinite energy the earth and snow have to provide. Its tail as wispy and unruly as a cloud, never maintaining the same shape for long; its black nose did not feel out of place; instead, it gave a sense of cuteness mixed with the majestic aura, its pair of horns branching out and forming a crown above its head. But the most eye-catching detail of all was its eyes. It had no pupils, no irises, none of the regular eye anatomy. Instead, they glowed an intense golden color. It was so intense that one would believe its tears were also golden.

"Shit, you can talk too?" Magnus cursed as he ran his hand through his hair, reminding him of the times his baby would grab it by the roots and use it to force him to take the entirety of his cock. "Human, what lustful thoughts are you having?" Slight disgust could be found within the majestic voice. "You can read my thoughts?" Magnus was surprised at the fact that the deer seemed to be reading his mind and not at the fact that its name was as blood-red as the matriarchs. Shaking its head, the stag-like creature hesitates before it responds, "No, but I can... smell it." It whispered the last part of the sentence, almost scared about uttering it. "You can smell it?! You're fucking disgusting." Magnus put on an exaggerated look of disgust on his face, causing the stag to stomp its hooves in anger.

"Don't anger me, human! Besides, if you weren't so lust-filled, I wouldnt be able to smell it!" The stag-like creature tried to defend itself, completely riled up by Magnus. "Anyways, I appreciate you not attacking me as soon as you walked through the gate, but tell me... What do you want to do now?" Magnus asked, forming his signature scythe for the first time in this quest. Until now, he's been using the waves to hone his long-range magic attacks and hand-to-hand combat. He's done it so much that he's gained two new skills related to this, but we'll save them for later.

'Even though he's blood-red, I can kill it. After all, before the system, I managed to slay an A-rank monster by myself as a C-rank hunter.' Murderous intent surrounded Magnus as he glared at the stag, waiting for its response. When the stag made eye contact with Magnus, it shuddered in fear. 'I'm stronger than this human, and yet...' An unreasonable fear crept into its heart, causing it to step back. This fear was not ordinary; it was more... primal. A fear deeply engraved into its DNA, the instinctual fear of a prey being stalked by its predator. It hadn't felt this fear since it was a helpless fawn. 'No, for survival... After all, I'm a simple healer...' The stag thought to itself, confirming its thought of submission. Before Magnus could go up and kill the creature that was so indecisive, he was caught surprised when it just lay on the ground, bowing its head to him. "Human, my life is yours." The stag simply said, ignoring the fact that it was the sentinel of the forest where it was from.
