"Come back safe, Mags," Jin-Woo whispered as he turned, made his way out of the cafe, and joined Jin-Ho on the days' Gate raids.
Magnus stood inside a small room on the other side of the Gate. The room was simplistic and bare, only with a single bench inside. One could tell it hadn't been used in a long while as the entire room was dusty and crusty. Sliding a finger across the bench, Magnus saw it leave a mark of cleanliness while his fingertip accumulated all of the dirt. "Where the fuck did the system take me...?" He questioned out loud, trying to use his high Sense stat to figure out what was happening. Before he could further explore the enclosed room, the system's notifications rang out again.

Holding a thinking pose, one hand under the chin while the other one supports it, Magnus nods as he says, "Way to fuck me over system." 'Anyways, it can't be that hard... Also, where am I supposed to exit from?'
As if the system heard his internal monologue or lack thereof, it prompted another notification.
[ALERT
PROCEED DOWN THE CORRIDOR AND BEGIN.]
"Through what do-" A bright light interrupted Magnus's rant as an exit was being formed. As the light died down, it left behind a type of gate, a portcullis gate, to be specific. A portcullis gate was used in medieval times as the last defense of a castle. Although it should have looked ancient, it had a relatively modern, simplistic look. It was pure white, with not a spec of dust or dirt on it.
"A white gate...." Magnus started as he approached it. Extending his hand towards it, intending to touch it, the gate suddenly rumbled as it raised. A few seconds later, it completely disappeared as if it never existed before. "Fuck you, system. Are you playing with me?" Magnus was weirdly irritated, unsure why, but he knew he didnt like the feeling of not doing what he wanted. "I wonder how my baby is doing." With that, he began to head down the corridor.
If it were any other hunter, they would have already noticed the drastic drop in temperature. But it's not; it's Magnus, the walking glacier. If he did notice it, he would have just shrugged it off and said, "The cold never bothered me anyway."
"Fucking finally... That damn corridor took fucking forever to cross..." Magnus complained as he stepped out into a wide-open field. The open field he walked to was enclosed by a wall that was at least ten feet tall. On top of the wall were rows upon rows of snow-covered seats. "This... It doesn't seem like a simple arena... It's more like a colosseum."
Amazed, Magnus kept taking steps forward, marveling at the architecture that surrounded him. His amazement was short-lived, however, as the system's notification rang out.
[ALERT
{PLAYER} HAS ENTERED THE EVER-CHANGING ARENA.
THE FIRST WAVE SHALL COMMENCE.
SLAY THE MONSTERS.
0/100 SLAIN.]
"Monsters... What monsters?" Magnus questioned as he could not see any monsters for the life of him. That's when he noticed a door opening opposite of him. A bright light made it difficult for him to determine what was coming out of it, but if he could not see them, he'd just sense them. 'These monsters... are they really...?!' he thought as the door finally closed, and the monsters were visible.
