"Could it be... that you're a hunter?" The soldier asked as he only looked Jin-Woo in the eyes and not at the bimbo boyfriend. The soldier got the same answer in two different tones.
"Yes, we are." One sounded annoyed and pissed, while the other came out a bit awkward.
"You as well...?" The soldier asked Magnus with a surprised look on his face.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'YOU AS WELL?' OF COURSE, I AM A HUNTER. IF I WASN'T, WHAT WOULD I BE THEN? HUH PUNK? ANSWER ME? I SWEAR IF YOU DO-" Magnus lets loose. He couldn't believe that this cannon fodder just indirectly insulted him. He was so livid that his signature scythe started forming, but before it was complete, Jin-Woo intervened.
"Yes, my boyfriend is also a hunter. But what does that have to do with any of this?"
Hearing Jin-Woo openly call him boyfriend instantly cooled Magnus's anger. But, as he was about to speak, he was beaten to it by the soldier.
"Ah, I'm so sorry about that. I will guide you to your destination. This way, please." And with that, the soldier got out of the subway and started walking in a certain direction. "Okay, thanks," Jin-Woo replied as he dragged Magnus with him by the hand.
"Why are we following them? We could be going back to the hospital." Magnus whispered into Jin-Woo's ear. Feeling his boyfriends' warm breath on his ear managed to send a shiver down his back. "B-b-because..." The left was unsaid as they noticed the destruction and corpses of monsters.
They passed multiple totaled cars. Some were grey, others red, some blue. Some even had dead monsters crushing them. The monsters had multiple spikes growing down their spines. Large white teeth, brown clay skin, and some rock-styled protection on their faces. Some had their throats split, gaping wounds on their chest, slash marks on their bodies. It was a disaster, to say the least.
"You know, this scene reminds me of every generic zombie movie ever made." Magnus couldn't help but comment. "Yea... it sure does." The soldier responded. Jin-Woo sent his boyfriend the stink eye before asking the soldier, "Did a gate open nearby for monsters to come here?"
Thankful that at least one of the hunters seemed worried about the situation, the soldier answered with a more complex answer. "Yes, but nearby monsters have already been taken care of. All that's left is one big monster."
Upon hearing this information, Jin-Woo turns to his boyfriend as if seeking an answer to something.
*Sigh*
"Yes. I felt it already; the boss is in the direction we are headed. Yes, I believe it's the sense stat." Magnus replied with a sigh. 'Honestly, we haven't seen each other all day, and all he cares about is random people? Am I not on his mind 24/7 like he is on mine? Maybe I can change that once I give him head.' Magnus thinks, licking his lips as he stares at his baby's crotch area. Not noticing his boyfriend's lecherous look, Jin-Woo says. "Ah. No wonder I can feel it from this distance." Magnus missed the way both his and Jin-Woo's eyes lit up when their sense stat was used. It was a bright white for Magnus, while for Jin-Woo, it was a neon blue color.
*CRACK*
*BOOM*
A fluorescent blue thunderbolt seemingly rose from the ground up, casting shadows on any building near it. "That's the boss." They both said as they saw the thunderbolt started to dissipate. "Not much longer till we get near the big monster." The soldier's words brought them back from their thoughts. Magnus just gave the soldier a nod while Jin-Woo said, "Good. Let's keep going."
In a seemingly normal part of the road, a big rock leg slammed itself on top of it.
*BAM*
That single stomp caused short tremors to be felt. If one looked up the leg and at the entire monster, they would see something that used to only exist in movies and video games. The monster was made out of rock, seemingly being held together by neon blue energy. It had a distinct skull-like face and a relatively small waist.
