Magnus of Ice

BETRAYAL PT.1

'What is this? This bad feeling....' Jin-Woo thought as he raised his guard even more and warned Jin-Ho at the same time.

'I knew it!' Magnus thought as his bloodthirsty and crazed smile appeared and disappeared in a blink of an eye.

"Let's keep it moving!" Dong-Suk announced to the group with a smile that gave off the wrong vibes, but it was too soon for Jin-Woo to notice and for Magnus to act. 'I wonder what play they'll put on....'

As the group moved, Jin-Ho couldn't help but notice. "This is a pretty big dungeon for a C-rank gate... right?" With a shrug of his shoulder, Jin-Woo turned to Magnus. "Mags, you've been in C-rank gates before. Are they always this big?"

Magnus is excited that Jin-Woo is relying on him for information because usually, it's the other way around. After all, Jin-Woo is the brain, and he's the brawn, but he is confident that Jin-Woo might leave him in the dust if he doesn't up his game.

"Well, a dungeon's size varies from dungeon to dungeon, as you may know." He starts walking in front of them as he slid his hand along the walls of the tunnels, leaving behind a trail of ice. "A dungeon's size is independent of its ranks. With some dungeons, it would take weeks to analyze the interior fully. But with others, it might only take a few hours to get to the boss room." He finished as he turned around to face them.

Before he could continue his thought, he was called to the front. "MAGNUS! We need you in front." Dong-Suk called out to him. 'Ugh, let's see what games they want to play.' Magnus did an eye-roll before responding; both Jin-Woo and Jin-Ho lightly snickered at his childish action. "Okay!" Giving Jin-Woo a quick kiss, he turned and started to make his way forwards.

"What do you need me for?" He asked as he arrived near Dong-Suk and Gyu-Hwan. "Ha, we were thinking of changing your contract. We could split the magical cores with you if you help us with the monsters." Dong-Suk said as Gyu-Hwan nodded along. "Fine." That single one-word response he got was all Magnus gave him as he walked in front of the both of them and started to kill any and all monsters that they came across.

As time passed and the party made their way through the dungeon, Jin-Woo started to notice the general layout. 'This dungeon is laid out like a maze. As a result, not too many fights are happening, but it's taking a while to move around.' As the party entered another tunnel, he noticed how Magnus seemed to be slowing down just a bit, as if he was tired.

'We were tasked with carrying baggage.' Jin-Woo thought as he kept looking in Magnus's direction. Having felt his baby's gaze on him, Magnus turned his head, and the both of them made eye contact.

Magnus winked and blew him a kiss. The hunters Dong-Suk and Gyu-Hwan noticed his action and also turned to look in Jin-Woo's direction. But, before even five seconds passed, they heard a voice. "What are you two looking at? Focus on the fight. Weak hunters don't have the breathing room required to get distracted." The tone of the voice was so cold, and a freezing chill swept up their back as if warning them not to look in that direction.

'I don't really need to get involved in combat, but Mags probably got his contract changed.' Jin-Woo thought as he compared his situation with his boyfriends. 'To be able to earn money without fighting... it's a decent deal for me, the 'World's Weakest Hunter.'

*sigh*

'If Mags knew that I called myself that, how would he react....' Jin-Woo imagined how Magnus would react. He envisioned a scenario where instead of Magnus being submissive in the bedroom, he turns dominant. "Ha, you want to call yourself by that name. Then so be it. I'm going to have fun dominating such a weak bitch." Magnus would say as he threw Jin-Woo onto the bed.
