As Magnus made his way down the stairs, he noticed that it was the air that was humid. 'Is there water down here? I thought it was supposed to be a subway dungeon.' Magnus thought as he continued.

Once he reached the bottom of the stairs, he looked around as he kept walking further inside. The subway looked abandoned, with wild weeds growing out from the floor's cracks. The lights were flickering on and off; the roof had panels that fell from it. Exposing the iron bars and electrical wire that keep it up. 'Fuck man, this looks like a haunted mansion, but in a subway.' Magnus thought as he kept going forward.

"Man, how long does this dungeon go on for? I thought that I would be fighting stuff. Also, why is it getting hotter? I swear, there better not be any fire monsters here." Magnus, though, as he removed his white hoodie and wrapped it around his waist.

"My God, are those fur balls... Nah, there would be any cats here." Magnus said to himself that cats spit out sometimes as he viewed a furball. He did not know that he was being watched since he reached the bottom of the stairs. As soon as he stopped to consider the furballs on the floor, the monster lunged out and attacked him.

*GROWL*

At the noise, Magnus tucked and rolled. He rolled away and stood up at the end. He focused on the monster that just had the balls to attack him. It looked like a large feline with yellow fur, orange glowing eyes, and a long sleek tail. It would have been fine if that was all, but no, the system likes to be extra. It had fire surrounding its head, like a mane, and fire on its paws as well. Its name was in bold red letters: FIRE MANE STALWART.

"For fucks sake, you're literally so hot that the surroundings are either being reduced to ash or are heating up because of you. Your literal paws are burning through the cement. Am I supposed to fight you? Give me a break." Magnus yelled, already stressing over this fight. 'At least there's only one. Wait, is it supposed to be a lion?'

The Stalwart growled at the humans' words. Not waiting for it to get its bearings, it lunged forward, paws first, trying to hit his face.

Magnus saw as he was about to be smacked by the paw, so he crouched as soon as it was near and threw a punch towards its stomach. It successfully sent the lion rolling backward, but besides that, it did not get affected.

"Fuck dude, my hand is literally burning up already. I might have a scar now. You are going to pay for what you did to me." Magnus said, his eyes glowing as a scythe formed on his right hand. "Now, let's tango, kitty."

As the Stalwart went forward again, it still attacked with its paws first. This time, it increased the range of the flames. As if trying to burn the human before it had time to dodge.

'Shit.' Magnus turned to the right as he brought the scythe down; as he did that, a large gash was on the lion's side. Blood slowly seeped from the side slowly because as Magnus cut it, ice started to form around the wound. 'Fuck.'

'So, first thing first. My strength and agility increased; I feel faster and stronger. It must be because of the stat points I put in them. Also, my scythe, no, the ice I can create seems more durable and sharp than before. Is it possible that instead, the more MP I have, the stronger and deadlier the ice I create?' Magnus thought as he held the lion's paws off with the handle of the scythe. "Damn lion and his fire paws. Don't you get tired from always lunging at your enemy like that?"

Pushing the lion away, Magnus started to spin his scythe as he approached the Fire Mane Stalwart. As they both ran towards each other, the lion still lunged with paws first. Its fire shot out from its paws as its mane started to shine brighter and brighter.

'Shit, those paws are annoying. What's next? It's going to shoot fire from its mouth?' So Magnus spun his scythe once more before aiming for the paws. As the scythe came into contact with the paws, they were sliced off. It seemed like the lion didn't expect this to happen, so when it tried to land, it fell face-first into the floor. The best thing is that no blood was spilled since Magnus scythe left ice on the injury. "Hhmm, interesting. So my scythe can now leave ice so that blood doesn't spill. I wonder if it's a side effect from the increase of MP."
