a week has gone by pretty fast, with midnight encounters with jake often every night- it was already friday evening to watch the pink moon with jaeyun's parents at their backyard.

bella's mom called her after finishing her ten minutes of doing her homework.

bella obediently went out of her bedroom, walking towards her parents' room with curiosity.

"yes mommy?" bella spoke, seeing her mom smiling with her clothes placed on their bed. she prepared bella's outfit to go out.

nothing to spectacular or colorful since it's just a regular outdoor bbq with some other neighbors. a small floral dress with a pink ribbon around her waist satisfied the two girls.

"you guys made it!" mrs. sim exclaimed when she saw the family across the street coming towards their open gate with a welcoming hug and smile.

there were already some neighbors already sitting down, talking to one another while waiting for mr. sim cooking the bbq.

the first question that popped into bella's mind, "where's jake?"

jake noticed bella's presence when she greeted his dad. he quickly got off his swing he was quietly swaying himself on for five minutes, waiting for bella.

jake quietly crept behind his dad quietly before bella's dad noticed him. "hi jake~" bella's dad waved at the boy, his smile wrinkles forming as jake did the same thing.

"you too go play, we will call you when food is prepared." mr. sim suggested while flipping the marinated meat.

the two of them exchanged beaming glances, both biting their lips to hide their excitement as they smiled at one another.

"sure thing!" bella's mom agreed, smiling lightly at the kids' behavior.

"mommy can we go to playground?" jake asked. she was hesitate to come up with an answer as they were going by themselves.

"okay but you have to come back when sun sets!" his mom replied with stern and worried. little did they know about their secret hang outs at midnight.

jake instantly skipped out the yard after hearing his mom's response as bella looked at her parents with anticipation.

"come here~" jake motioned his hand, encouraging bella with that wide smile of his. "you can go." his dad replied as bella sprinted, running after jake towards the playground.

"hey wait up!!" you can hear bella's whine at the background. both of the parents chuckled. "they're so cute together." mr. sim commented.

both of the entered the playground, stopping their tracks to catch their breath.

"i can see why you rejected my request of running." jake teasingly commented, side smiling at bella who looked up at jake with a death glare.

"wanna see something pretty?" jake leaned to bella's face as he pointed to the back with his thumb. she nodded with a smile.

'as long as jake is with me, i'm fine with everything' bella thought as she followed jake, leading her to somehow.

it was a small hill that was leading to a park. jake sat down, signaling bella that this was the spot he wanted to bring her.

bella gasped at how high they were, seeing the passing cars and people crossing by. in the distance, you can see the fainted yellow in the background.

"it's so pretty.." bella commented as she sat down. her doe eyes were fixated at the sight with her little mouth opened.

jake chuckled, feeling prideful.

he took out the ipod and earbuds that were connected it out of his pocket. "i finally know how to work it." jake smiled as bella curiously peeked at jake's hands with the earbuds being mixed.

"what does it do?'" bella asked, looking at its buttons.

after jake was done fixing the earbuds, he gave one of them to bella.

bella looked up in confusion, her heart somehow starting to flutter, not knowing because of the sun or looking jake giving her one of his earbuds.

"wanna check it out?" jake suggested, his eyebrows raising at bella to get it but bella's mind was running crazy.

bella gulped. "sure." after she took the offered earbud and placing it on her right ear. jake placed his left one on his ear as he pressed a button.

violin music started to play.

it was calming and gentle to both of their ears as they stared at the cars passing by.

and that's when sun was setting down.

both of them entered to jake's backyard, following their parents' requests. fortunately, jake's dad was done with the bbq.

"just in time." mr. sim replied with a surprised tone seeing the two kids together as he placed the huge plate of cooked bbq on the table.

"honey! take a picture!" bella's mom nudges her husband's shoulder, sounding like a forced request after they noticed the pink moon.

they were currently watching a movie with jake's hologram at the back. jake and bella's eyes instantly moved up to the sky, using their whole head to look up.

"woah..." bella whispered, admiring the pastel pink in the sky, outstanding the most out of the stars.

"the moon is beautiful isn't it?" jake asked still smiling at the moon.

bella remained unmoving, eyes struck on the little stars plastered in the dark sky. "it really is.."

"are you sneaking out tonight?" bella looked at jake with an expected gaze. suddenly jake pouted while looking at the floor.

"i don't think so, my parents said they wanted to talk later.." jake explained as bella's shoulders dropped, realizing that jake took her out earlier than regularly.

"are you in trouble?" bella teased, making jake nervous. he gulped. "no! i don't want to." jake glared at bella who chuckled.

"i think you are." bella repeated once again to get on jake's nerves.

he puffed. "mom! dad! bella is making fun of me!" jake pointed at bella with a grumpy stare towards his parents who didn't take it seriously, as they were kids, kids love to be playful.

"hey hey no be quiet!" bella hissed at jake. "no i'm not!" she started defended herself as jake shook his head.

"yes!"

"no!"

"you are!"

"was not!"

both of their parents sighed and chuckled at the two kids arguing.
