although bella and jake are friends, jake doesn't believe in that.

in school, she would avoid him.
at home, she would avoid him.
anywhere they would meet, she would avoid him.

jake was confused. what did jake do to make bella avoid him? it quickly caught his attention, he knew it all too quick.

whenever they would make eye contact, bella would immediately let go and move on with a smile- a fake one in what jake thinks of, and shifted her eyes somewhere else.

jake also observed bella around sunghoon, how comfortable she was, how she was laughing and bickering with him, as if jake got replaced.

jake and sunghoon did become close, and he noticed how similar they are which made him be more confused as to why bella doesn't want to be close to him. they're basically twins.

something with jake, grew more attention and interest to bella. either because of her drastic personality, from her being a soft, innocent kid who waited for the ice cream truck with him to being a mature, straightforward woman or missing her memories with him. probably both.

it was break time and as usual, bella used that time wisely to sleep for a half hour. jake was doing his work peacefully, and as handsome he was, he was nicknamed as the 'model student' because not only he's a gentlemen that soften girls' hearts, his handsome features were included.

bella was leaning her head against her left fist as her elbow was holding her.

bella was sleeping in the direction where jake saw her from the side.

jake looked up at bella's soften expression that reminded him of the old days.

bella's grip started to loosen which made her head tilt more as her fist started to lower.

worried, jake unzipped his large sweater, stuffing it as a ball as he looked at bella, hesitant to wake her up and give her his sweater but was nervous if bella would be angry at him for waking her up.

but bella's face was about to be smashed in that cold wooden desk, so jake quickly stood up and threw his sweater on bella's desk, making her fall straight on jake's comfy jacket.

jake signed in relief when bella was sleeping soundly despite falling.

bella sniffed a lavender faint smell when her face was facing sideways on jake's jacket. it smelt so good that bella fell asleep deeper as she snuggled more.

jay and sunghoon came back from getting snacks from the cafeteria, casually talking and giggling.

both of the stopped their tracks at the door, finding a jake standing next to bella's sleeping face.

sunghoon felt a weird feeling when jay asked.

"isn't that jake's sweater?" jay pointed out, sounding a bit amused and disbelief.

sunghoon puffed his cheeks when he exhaled.
'they're friends' is what he thought of, shrugging the negative thoughts.

sunghoon shrugged it off and entered the classroom, jay rising his eyebrow and planted a half smirk.

only jay knows how sunghoon likes bella.

'this is gonna be entertaining.' jay thought of, pursing his lips in interest as he followed sunghoon behind.

bella woke up from sunghoon poking her shoulder. she opened her eyes slowly. her eyes sensitive to the bright light cause them to bother her.

sunghoon gave an amused stare, his head tilting under his hand on his chin.

"you look like a monkey." sunghoon commented when bella started to pick her head up, rubbing her puffy eyes.

"shut it." she muttered, still sounding sleepy.

bella realized the sweater she was sleeping on. at first, she couldn't recognized the faint lavender scent. it didn't seem to be sunghoon's or jay's.

it took her ten seconds, staring at the sweater intensely- her head immediately looking at her right side.

she found a peaceful jake; doing his work while listening to music with his earbuds.

she blinked back.

"what's wrong?" sunghoon asked, confused as to why bella was moving her eyes quickly.

a quick blush was planted on bella's cheeks.

"is this jake's?" she whispered at sunghoon, her eyes innocent and suspicion.

sunghoon's expression lowered, giving a small tight smile to bella. he looked at the behind of jake before nodding at bella.

bella licked her bottom lips in embarrassment. she exhaled lightly before folding his sweater up.

"uhm can you tell him thanks?" bella requested, giving the folded sweater to sunghoon with an unsure expression.

sunghoon didn't say nothing but nodded, biting his bottom lip in bitterness. "sure."
