"what do you mean talk to her?" jay looked up furrowed his eyebrows at sunghoon.

the two of them were casually talking to each other during break time, jay of course, doing his work while sunghoon was fiddling inside his seat, thinking a lot of thoughts.

"i have to be sure." sunghoon replied, sounding a bit nervous and low-spirited as if he doesn't wanna do it.

jay was trying to think of what sunghoon was referring to. his lips slowly gasped when he realized.

"are you gonna confess your feelings to bella?"

sunghoon looked down with his cheeks puffed down. his fingers were fiddling with one another, sitting down in his seat with his shoulders down.

"i mean.. i have to move on.." sunghoon replied, looking at the ground.

jake tilted his head at sunghoon. "move on? for what?" he questioned, curious and interest growing inside of him. he was worried for his friend.

"she looks happier with jake." sunghoon shallowed a thump of sadness through his throat, difficult that he said that.

jay widened his eyes a bit at sunghoon, shocked. jay awkwardly chuckled and gave a small shoulder nudge at sunghoon.

"ey~ dont be like that just because the two of them are neighbors. you and bella have known each other since freshmen." jay cheered up, hoping sunghoon won't be discouraged.

"i don't know.. she seems more smiley with jake than me." sunghoon bitterly chuckled, his sorrow eyes appearing.

"when jake gave bella coffee last week, i feel a bit.. replaced." sunghoon added, making jay think what's next to say.

perfect timing when bella came behind them, greeting them with pats on their backs, both of them lightly jumping.

"sup my rats." bella clicked her tongue, sitting down in her seat with a bright smile.

bella read sunghoon's expression, blank and neutral. she lowered her smile, feeling uncomfortable with his aura.

bella pursed her lips, "what's wrong?" she asked, feeling a bit weirded out since sunghoon would be jumpy and smiling but there was no smile in sunghoon's facial expression- so she knew something was wrong.

she fixed her posture to face sunghoon completely, being attentive with him.

"can we talk?" sunghoon looked up at bella. she was a bit taken back at that statement. she has never seen sunghoon be serious with her, if he was it would be getting homework answers from bella.

she looked at jay, which he was nodding, not minding being alone for some time.

"sure.." bella nodded, feeling a nervous knot forming in her stomach.

sunghoon stood up from his seat walking out of the classroom as bella was nervous following behind me.

sunghoon lead the two of them into the backyard garden.

sunghoon suddenly stopped his tracks in front of bella, who was looking at the ground the whole time.

she accidentally bumped her head in sunghoon's back, resulting a chuckle from sunghoon.

bella was rubbing her head, glaring at the boy.
he ruffled bella's hair, messing it up a bit, "you're so clumsy."

bella scoffed, "not my fault you're so tall."
