"bella, jaeyun's parents' invited us to their backyard bbq next week."bella's dad informed them while they were eating in the dinner table.

it was currently 7pm, bella went downstairs from her room to eat dinner with her parents after finishing her math addition and subtraction homework.

"jaeyun?" bella's tone sounded uncertain and felt unfamiliar with that name, tilting her head to her dad.

"jaeyun is jake's name." bella's dad informed making bella nod. her parents giggled at how cute she was, confused.

"is there something going on?" bella asked stuffing her mouth with loads of food mashed into one spoon, her cheeks puffed and her the corner of her lips were smeared in potatoes.

"we're going to see the pink moon~" her mom squealed, showing bella the bright pink moon pictures. bella gasped her mouth at the vivid pastel pink.

"MOONS CAN BE PINK?" bella lightly screamed while asking her dad in excitement- her eyes beaming at her dad as he lightly chuckled.

"i couldn't believe it either, so let's watch it together."

another night. another sneaking out. every time she snuck out, it would be always at 12 o' clock since she always met jake.

before bella wanted to sneak out multiple times, the reason would be gazing at the stars for comfort.

but now, it was because of jake.

bella was curious about jake and her invitation to his bbq. bella glanced at the crescent moon, the bright white color standing out than the stars.

'moons can be pink....' bella thought of as her lips pouted a bit, dozing her eyes off to the grass.

bella has gotten a bit better with jumping and not making sounds with the grass.

she quickly removed her sneakers, her white socks appearing up to her ankles, jake's bandaid still there.

bella held her two sneakers with her tiny fingers with her palm as she held her tense body to jump, barely making sound when she landed.

bella sighed in relief as she quickly wore her sneakers, running to see jake.

she saw jake sitting criss cross apple sauce as his head tilting. his eyes were focused on a small technology on his hand with earbuds on both of his ears.

his lips were pouted at the focus on how to work on this technology with his confused hands pressing random buttons. bella smiled, even looking at the presence of jake, she was already felt at ease and happy.

"what is that?" bella suddenly asked jake while walking. the sudden low voice almost lightly scared jake.

"hm?" jake mumbled at her. bella darted her eyes at the technology on jake's palm.

"i heard it's an ipod..." jake responded, sounding unhappy that he doesn't know how to work with it. he scratched his head, placing a frown.

"a what?" bella asked, twisting her eyebrows at the unfamiliar word. "something about music.." jake shrugged, shoving the unsolved ipod on his pocket.

bella sat down next to jake on the sand. "my dad told me your parents invite us to your bbq." bella started the conversation casually in regards of being comfortable around jake.

jake's eyes beamed up. "for the pink moon right?" jake asked bella nodded, still confused as to why the moon can be pink after your dad explained to you multiple times.
