all of three them lead jake to their regular lunch seats with their full lunch trays.

"what is that?" bella asked, her lips pointing to jay's books, stacked. jay smiled proudly before picking up his chopsticks.

"i'm not called class president for a reason." jay replied as bella lightly rolled her eyes at jay's cockiness.

jake silently picked up his chopsticks, sitting next to jay- wanting to listen to their conversation instead of talking. who knew a boy could be handsome by just standing there.

bella observed something while eating. she tilted her head to get a better view as she sighed mentally.

behind jay were a bunch of girls huddled in one table from the back.

bella glanced jake and back to the girls' love interest at him.

"there's already girls staring." bella muttered under her breath, amused chuckling while picking her food up with her chopsticks.

"jake can be my handsome buddy." sunghoon proudly requested, giggling next to bella.

"don't flatter yourself. you're not handsome." bella crooked her lips to show a disgusted expression.

sunghoon lightly clenched his teeth, "yes i am."

"no you aren't."

"jake!" as jay let out a loud exhale, he called jake's name with an innocent smile. he did not want to see bella and sunghoon bickering like babies for the 10th time this day.

bella and sunghoon glared at each other for a few seconds before focusing on their lunch trays in front of them.

instead, jay wanted to learn more about jake; actually using an excuse to not hear their fighting in front of his studying.

jake gave a startled expression after being suddenly called out by jay.

"i heard you transferred from australia." jay mentioned, creating exciting gaze from sunghoon.

"australia? that means he can speak english!" sunghoon smiled, alerting his eyes to jake.

jake nodded. "i wanna learn english... i'm jealous." sunghoon's shoulders dropped.

"bella does not want to teach me clearly." sunghoon spared a glare at bella who rolled her eyes at him before eating.

bella was also from australia, born there but not raised unlike jake. coincidentally, they were both born from the same hospital as their parents told each other at the bbq party years ago.

"would you teach me?" sunghoon innocently requested, with his eyes showing anticipation as he was holding a squeal towards jake.

jake agreed. "sure, i can." sunghoon sighed in relief.

"how was australia? what did you do there?" jay asked while writing a couple of answers on his hard copy textbook, must be his tutored homework.

jay was silent, trying to think back as he did multiple things.

"nothing too extraordinary, going to regular school." jake cheekily responded. all of the nodded, listening to them.

"bella, i remembered you told us that you were born in australia." sunghoon suddenly pointed out. jay smiled, remembering.

bella gulped at the sudden attention towards her. she awkwardly chuckled after looking at all three of them making eye contact with her.

"were you guys born in the same hospital or the same neighborhood?" sunghoon questioned. bella eyes lightly widened at sunghoon.

she licked her dry lips before staring, "i don't remember it was years ago.." she excused before avoiding eye contact with jake.

sunghoon pouted at bella while going back to eating.

while jake gave a confused expression, 'does she not remember me?' he thought, him pouting as a result of a heart shattering into pieces.

not gonna lie, bella felt a bit bad for saying that answer but she knew what was best for her.

bella stood up from her seat with her tray almost empty. "i'll throw my tray away." bella notified as the guys nodded, continuing to eat.

bella threw her leftovers at the trash can that was right in the middle of the cafeteria.

as she placed her tray on the table, jake suddenly placed his empty tray before bella, making her startled.

bella looked at jake who innocently smiled back.

those eyes, she remembers them very fondly. and how much she misses those twinkle-like eyes that reminded her of the stars.

bella quickly avoided eye contact, going back to her senses as she casually placed her tray in the table, walking back without waiting for jake to walk with her.
