"i could've been studying this hour." bella glanced at her phone, pouting at the time that was showing.

jake and bella were sitting behind the tree, admiring the sun setting down and the sky darkening with a comfortable distance from one another.

jake rubbed his jawline, "why are you thinking about exams right now?" he asked genuinely.

bella pursed her lips together, dozing the grass in front of her as she laid her head back to the bumpy tree.

"i'm just stressed that's all.." she murmured while fiddling with the grass she grabbed in her palms.

jake huffed his cheeks, "it's just a day off, enjoy it while it lasts. although it's our last year, we have to conclude our memories before going off to college." jake reasoned.

"you're gonna do fine bella. you just need to let go of things."

bella's heart somehow fluttered at the sudden compliment, whether if it's just the phrase or how jake says her name.

bella glanced at jake with soft eyes as she saw jake threw a pebble down the hill.

bella slowly grabbed a pebble next to her, eyes stuck on it, as if she's questioning something.

she exhaled, her fingers clenching tight onto a pebble.

"i wish i don't have to worry anything about my life!" she suddenly exclaimed, jake's eyes shifting at bella throwing a pebble with full power.

jake tsk, "that's more like it."

bella felt a bit more comfortable after saying that, her eyes and smile relaxing while the pebble was going down the hill.

"i wish i don't have to see love letters in my locker everyday!" jake followed as well, exclaiming loud and clear at his words as he threw the pebble.

bella chuckled at jake's giggle. "thanks jake." bella gave a small smile at him as jake's cheeks were getting a bit pink- couldn't tell because of the orange sun setting his face.

"y-yeah, it's no problem." he stumbled upon his sentence, earning more pinkness on his cheeks spreading.

bella seemed to notice it. "are you blushing?" a mischievous smile planted on her face.

jake avoided eye contact, looking like a lost puppy. he rapidly shook his head. "no!" he loudly proclaimed, earning a light jump from bella.

"yeah okay." bella tsk, her eyes back on the phone. jake looked away, his palms compressing on his burning cheeks.

bella played some music in a low volume- euphoria by jungkook. "i'm hungry." bella murmured, her hands compressing in her grumpy stomach.

jake thought of something, "wanna get something to eat?"

bella looked at him with confused eyebrows, "from where?" she asked.

"i know a place." jake replied, making bella nodded.
they both stood up at the same time, patting their legs from the dirty grass.

bella's phone slipped out of her pocket. she bent down to grab it.

only to touch jake's hand on her phone already. they both exchanged surprised eye glances as the music lyric followed-

you are the cause of my euphoria.

-

the two teenagers were happily blasting music in the car, with their windows opened, singing lyrics to their favorite song,

"my heart's a stereo, it beats for you so listen close~" they both sang with passion and loud volume that the people in the sidewalk were glancing at them.

the wind blowing on their fluffy hair, they never felt this relaxed with one another. even bella didn't mind singing with this passion around jake. jake didn't mind it.

jake had to lower the volume down when he parked in front of a restaurant. bella looked at the logo next to her, she peeked her eyes out in the closed window.

"20cm cafè?" bella questioned if it this was the place that jake brought her. "yep, that's the one." jake grabbed his keys to placed in his pants.

they both go out of the car, bella already admiring what's inside, it was perhaps a desert cafe which brought more anticipation and excitement.

they entered the cafe, greeted by polite workers and loads of sweet deserts in front of them. bella lightly squeal, biting her lips at how delicious each desert looked like.

jake noticed and stole a glance at bella with a smile, looking at her anticipated eyes. "i remembered you liked deserts." jake muttered, scanning the menu in front of him.

"hm?" bella murmured, looking at jake with an attentive stare. she slowly processed what he just said.

"that's impressive." she looked back at the sweet deserts, choosing one as jake chuckled.

"next one!" the worker called out, making bella immediately go towards the worker.

"hi, can i have a strawberry short cake?" bella requested as the worker nodded, pressing buttons in the machine.

"anything else?" the worker politely asked.

"n-"

"and one chocolate croissant." jake interrupted casually, making bella shut up with her words.

bella twisted her eyebrows in confusion, as jake playfully winked at her. she mentally scoffed.

"great! your total will be $7." the worker smiled. bella went through her wallet to take out some cash but jake already gave in his card.

bella froze- realizing the contrast between the two.
"you're paying?" she surprisingly raised an eyebrow at jake who nodded simply, muttering a thank you and walked out towards the waiting area as bella followed behind.

"you already drove me here, i should at least repay you." bella lightly pouted, putting her cash back into her wallet as jake shook it off.

"it's fine, it's my treat. i did say that i wanted to take you out." jake explained as bella was a bit flustered and confused with his wording, take you out?

bella didn't replied but to wait for their order.
"i wanna stress free like you."

jake tilted his head a bit to the side, "oh i'm stressed alright. very stressed. like you said, i'm supposed to be wise with my time and not waste it this year." jake chuckled.

"but if it's spending my time to be with you, i rather waste it all." jake looked at bella with soft eyes as bella's cheeks were turning a bit red at the sudden words.

bella broke the eye contact with an awkward laughter. "geez you're so bold.." she muttered like a quick whisper before getting her shortcake from the marbling counter.
