bella woke up due to the loud truck noises outside her house, disrupting her amazing, restful nap.
she groaned in irritation. she peeked outside her window, sliding her transparent, thin curtain. she arose from her bed after stretching her arms with her messy, tangled hair.
her eyes stared at the house across from them with multiple boxes inside of the truck.
looks like he is moving back to his old house.
bella's eyes widened, is she supposed to be happy? why is she nervous? probably because she ignored jake's existence in school, it's gonna be awkward to meet him and his parents?
bella saw jake's parents carrying boxes from the truck and placing them inside the house, she noticed that jake was there which gave her a mentally sigh relief.
what was bella gonna do? what was her plan? does she even continue her friendship with jake?
she lightly shook her head, not wanting those thoughts run around her mind all day.
all she wanna focuses on is her senior year, go to college and exhaust herself with jobs in her 50s.
she received a text message from her mom. she grabbed her phone that was in the corner of her bed as her heart fastened when she read the message from her screen.
mom: can you help out for a bit? jake's parents move in their boxes to their house.
bella was clearly hesitant, typing and deleting multiple text messages before sending one to her mom.
sorry i'm busy with homework, i'm tired
bella sighed, hoping that would be a good excuse. bella glanced up to her window, jake appearing from his house empty-handed.
"bella has to do homework." bella's mom replied to ms. sim who understood.
"no worries, you know it's their last year. must be stressful." she gave a reassuring smile as bella's mom sighed, nodding along.
jake came up to the two moms having a conversation.
"jake, you grew taller, i swear you were so little back then." bella's mom commented as jake mumbled a thank you while smiling.
"did you see bella today at school?" ms. sim innocently asked jake, who lightly nodded as he gave his mom a tight smile.
"must be nice seeing her again after ten years." bella's mom smiled at jake.
jake chuckled. he stopped chucking as his eyes were shifting to bella's house, her bedroom window.
bella widened her eyes as soon jake made eye contact with hers. she quickly closed her curtains, shut as she threw herself flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"oh my god does he think i was spying at him?" bella placed her two palms on her face, clearly embarrassed that she got caught.
jake giggled, "she's always shy around me." he thought off before carrying another box to his house- ignoring the fact bella ignored him at school.
part of bella wanted to sprint outside her house, wanting to jump and hug her dearest friend, telling she misses him.
but part of bella did not.
she sighed, placing her head on the pillow- so many thoughts are filling her mind.
she decided to take a nap again, ignoring the truck noises outside to let go of her thoughts.
-
it was 7pm, the sun has already set and bella woke up to a dark room.
she stretched her arms under her covers, sighing.
she decided to go downstairs, to see if there was some food.
with her messy hair and her comfy oversized hoodie and shorts, she went downstairs- yawning, feeling like she could faint since she was moving a lot.
bella wiped her glasses and placed them on back. her eyes looked up and saw the most unexpected scene.
jake and his parents were in the dinner table, talking with her parents.
her eyes widening to the sudden shock that her body was frozen.
she wanted to run back upstairs.
