bella was speechless, and it was very noticeable. just like the rest of the girls staring at the undeniably handsome boy.

the height between the teacher and jake was noticeable as well, the teacher's head barely reaching his neck.

"looks like i'm not standing next to him." bella rolled her eyes as she shifted her eyes on the ground. she lowered her head in hopes that she won't make eye contact with jake.

bella quickly switched her head to the empty desk next to her. she tried to shook it off.

"there's no way-"

"jake why don't you sit next to the empty desk there?" the teacher suggested towards jake who slightly bowed like a polite gentleman he is and followed his order, walking to the desk as stares were made on his back.

bella turned her head to the window, rubbing her forehead intensely while biting her lips when jake was about to start sitting next to her.

jake sat down in the desk, greeted by his deskmates classmates, followed by jay and sunghoon behind him.

jake glanced at bella, expecting a greet or eye contact but bella was panicking that she purposely ignored jake's presence.

jake's heart was shattered a bit with no greeting but shrugged it off.

bella sighed, her heart beating in nervousness. "as long he doesn't know my name-" she mumbled, in a tone that she can individually heard.

"hey bella~" sunghoon behind her, hissed at bella.

oh curse you park sunghoon.

bella sharply looked at sunghoon with irritation as sunghoon widened his eyes a bit, "why are you always angry?" he shuddered in fear.

"what now?" bella hissed back, her eyes pleading with sunghoon to get to the point.

"do you have a pencil?" sunghoon asked as bella cursed herself mentally. she exhaled slowly.

"park sunghoon and kim bella. why are you guys talking?" the teacher caught the two, quietly fighting in the back over a pencil.

bella looked at the teacher with an innocent expression. "he wants a pencil from me." bella rolled her eyes, unzipping her pencil case, finding a pencil for sunghoon.

"sunghoon why do you always not have pencils?" the teacher sighed as he turned around to write on the chalkboard, earning laughter within classmates at sunghoon's goofiness.

bella harshly threw a pencil behind sunghoon, which he successfully caught.

"thank you~" sunghoon smiled as bella shook her head, sighing in disappointment.

the bell rung, reminding the students that it was lunch time. the students wrote their final answers as they slammed their workbooks, stretching their arms.

bella did stretch her arms, letting out a painful exhale.

she placed her arms on her desk as she silently placed her head in her arm pit, ignoring the loud noises in her classroom.

"wake up." sunghoon poked bella's shoulder, standing behind her. bella moved a bit from the sudden poke of sunghoon but didn't open her eyes.

"shut it. i need caffeine." bella's sleepy voice spoke out, not wanting anyone to bother her.

"i'll buy you coffee okay? you have to eat something." sunghoon sighed, poking bella's shoulder once again.

bella moved her head up, her hands on her palms, lightly rubbing them.

"hurry up love birds, we have a new student here." jay pushed his chair in, interrupting sunghoon and bella.

jay adjusted his round glasses, holding some books on his chest.

"but she's not moving.." sunghoon pointed to the frozen bella, who stayed in the same position, closing her eyes.

jay sighed.

"jake is it okay if you carry bella?" sunghoon randomly suggested.

bella's eyes suddenly darted out, ignoring the bright sun in their classroom after opening them.

bella quickly stood up and pushed her chair inside her desk.

jay and sunghoon raised their eyebrow at the behavior of bella.

"i'm suddenly awake." bella awkwardly stood still, gulping in nervousness.

bella glanced at jake, who stared at her with an unquestionable expression. bella quickly avoided jake's eyes after sparing a glance at them.

"let's go." bella innocently smiled as she walked outside of her classroom.

"weird." jay muttered as sunghoon nodded, agreeing. "i mean she needs coffee." sunghoon responded as they were following bella to the cafeteria.

"i'm jay." jay offered a hand to jake, walking next to him on the hallways.

jake warmly smiled as he held jay's welcoming greeting. "those two." jay pointed at the two fighting children, bella and sunghoon in front of them.

jake saw bella and sunghoon doing rock paper scissor, resulting bella in a bad mood after losing. sunghoon happily danced with his eye smiles forming.
