Chaeyoung sat alone, all by herself, on the sofa where she and Mina used to sit on together whenever they would spend time cuddling and whatnot. Again and again and again the young girl believed, forcing herself to trust Mina who comforted her with her sweet words that were only sweet to the ears but not to the heart.

Whether they wanted to end their relationship or continue was in God's decision to decide, even though Chaeyoung knew very well herself it's actually in the hands of her and her lover.

Initially, their relationship was able to be deemed perfect, but over time, the rust began to show itself in the chains that bound their promise as a couple. Their relationship was looked down at by Mina's family because Chaeyoung didn't have a sufficient job, only being a simple photographer and an artist who only did her hobby for fun, not for wealth.

Of course they strengthened themselves against the sharp spats of Mina's parents, and the Japanese girl always reminded her lover to ignore them as long as they stayed together. But words were only words.

It had just been a few months ago when Chaeyoung was told by her best friend Dahyun that she accidentally spotted Mina crashing her lips against the lips of another woman. It had been several months and Chaeyoung had been patiently and kindly waiting for her girlfriend to just admit her mistake.

Upon closer inspection, Jeongyeon, one of Chaeyoung's close friends, was the CEO of a fashion company that was quite popular in Seoul, so it's no surprise that Mina's parents would strongly approve Mina's decision to fall in love with her, despite the fact that Chaeyoung would be hurt to know this.

She was tired, so tired, so tired that she could collapse at any time, both mentally and physically. Mina had broken her promise, hurting Chaeyoung with her lies that always got her out of all her chaos. It felt like she wanted to disappear for a while from this world just to calm her mind. She knew she was still Son Chaeyoung herself without Mina.  She still had her family, friends and, most importantly, herself.

Chaeyoung's messy thoughts suddenly stopped for a moment as she listened to the sound of the door opening. Limply and slowly, the girl turned her head back and her eyes caught a figure who was standing silently beside the door. The figure turned out to be a woman, her short hair as black as night, moles around her lips and nose and face just like that particular girl she loved.

"M-Mina?" Chaeyoung called weakly, her tired face signalling she was either delusional or crazy.

Mina was just silent and didn't say a word, she looked and acted a little different than usual. Somehow, this Mina looked thinner, so thin as if she had an illness, possibly as a reflection of Chaeyoung's current condition who looks starving. However, Chaeyoung kept the smile she had practiced over and over again, bracing herself for whatever was coming.

Surprisingly, Mina actually gave a smile, a smile that was more sincere than Chaeyoung's, ironically.

The Japanese girl took a step towards the younger girl, and Chaevoung who was too tired to talk or even move a muscle immediately let gravity take her body, almost falling to the floor before she felt a warm embrace that came from Mina.

Chaeyoung's surprise doubled when Mina hugged her, and she completely fell into the embrace. Whether all of this was real or not, Chaeyoung felt comfortable at last.

Mina carried the younger girl carefully and sat her down on the soft and comfortable sofa. Chaeyoung seemed to melt at Mina's touch as well as her soothing sitting position, and her smile changed from a practiced smile to a sincere smile, a meaningful warm smile. She leaned her body against Mina's shoulder.

"Mina, this....this isn't a dream, is it?"  Chaeyoung asked weakly, her voice followed by a little chuckle. Mina was just silent and didn't answer, looking at Chaeyoung with sympathetic eyes. Chaeyoung never remembered Mina having short black hair, though. As far as she knew, Mina was blonde.

"Fight, Chaeyoung." Mina stated softly. "Don't bury your pain. Love and respect yourself, fight to maintain your self-worth. I know you are strong, so be strong, not for Mina, not for your family, not for others, but for yourself. Don't repeat the same mistakes I did....at my place."

"H-huh? M-Mina?" Chaeyoung was confused, she didn't understand whatever was going on right now. Mina's words didn't sound like the Mina she knew, and it made her mute.

Mina gave her a sweet smile as if to strengthen her soul before suddenly disappearing into thin air, and Chaeyoung's limp body landed on the soft sofa. She opened her eyes wide. Was it really just a dream? Was the Mina who encouraged her just now Chaeyoung's imagination to alleviate the pain that drowned her?

Chaeyoung didn't know, but she was sure of one thing.

The words that Mina had said to her earlier were true, very true. Chaeyoung was not stupid, she would no longer collapse just because of the sweet words of her lover whom she always trusted.  This time she will learn her own pride, and she will fight for her happiness too, not just anyone else.

However, in Chaeyoung's mind, she was still thinking about that mysterious Mina who appeared and comforted her ealier.

Who could it be? Chaeyoung couldn't stop thinking about it.

Who could it be?
