TRIGGER WARNING: Blood, Murder

Silence, cold, the terrible smell of iron was dizzying, and the dark cavernous space was only illuminated by a tiny single light bulb hanging dyingly flickering near the wall.

"Look where we are now." a woman breathed out with a slight chuckle that followed her words. She let out a small sigh and stared at the other woman who had her legs and arms tied to a wooden chair, her hair messy and her arms painted purple bruises. "Isn't it funny? You used to be a girl who used to be pretty and elegant with a family so rich and powerful to have 1 city in submission to you. Look at you now, broken, ruined like a drunkard."

The woman walked slowly but steadily, circling the other bound woman, her face full of bitterness and her gaze intensely sharp.

"Seeing you makes me sick. It makes me go insane just by seeing how happy you were with y."

The bound woman who slowly regained consciousness from fainting for several hours immediately opened her eyes wide, looked here and there, her face was full of horror and fear when she saw 4-5 men in black suits lying on the floor lifeless, blood splattered on the floor.

She immediately tried to scream for help looking at the corpses lying on the floor, but realized that her efforts were in vain when she felt a piece of cloth stuffed in her mouth, blocking any sound from escaping her lips. She struggled to try to escape from the bonds that held her back, but stopped immediately when the other woman who was standing in front of her slapped her cheek hard, the sound of the slap echoing through the silent room.

"Look at my eyes." ordered the standing woman, but the bound woman was too weak and in pain to even raise her head.  "I SAID LOOK AT MY EYES, ARE YOU DEAF?!"  her voice grew threefold with her roar, deafening to the ears. She then grabbed her chin and forced the woman on the chair to look into her eyes which were full of burning rage.

The bound woman widened her eyes as she instantly recognized the figure who was currently holding her hostage. Her ex whom she had hurt severely several years ago. She looked different, much different from when she left her at the hospital.  Her hair was already short, like it was cut messily, and her face was so skiny the cheekbones were nearly visible, like she hadn't eaten since she was left.

"Remember these two legs of mine?" asked the woman who stood up, her tone full of sarcasm. "They were the reason you left me with your handsome husband right? My paralyzed condition planned by your dear papa made you turn away from me right, Mina?"

"C-C-Chae-"

*PLAK*

Another slap landed on her right cheek, leaving a bright red mark.

"I crossed oceans and burning forests to try to prove to you and your family that I could be a good girlfriend for you, that I, Son Chaeyoung, could be a person with clear goals." Chaeyoung snarled, her voice getting hoarse and trembling indicating that deep down, she was still very hurt. "Why, Mina, why? Why was I left behind? Why was I crippled by your father? W-was I not good enough for you? Was I too stupid? Too poor?"

 "T-that's not it, C-Chae, sorry-" Mina tried to defend herself, but still failed. She was already responsible for the mental and physical damage to the woman who was her former lover who sincerely loved her.

"Whenever I met your parents, I saw the cynical looks that your precious father and mother gave me, as if I was just a useless cattle for a rich and affluent family like yours, Mina."Chaeyoung replied, her eyes getting redder and redder. "It sickened me every time I heard the despicable words that came out of your parents' mouths, but calm down. Now, at least I have been repaid."
