The Outlairs
Home of the Creatures

The Creatures were a terrifying and vicious monstrous race, looking almost like werewolves, that terrorized the Royal Lands for years, their race having endless conflicts between the Wizards of the Royal Lands. Their war had been going on for centuries, until King Soonghoon banished them from their lands. They had been living in The Outlairs ever since.

There they were, resting and readying themselves to hunt quietly in the Royal Lands. Their matriarch, Amsang, was sitting on top of an incredibly big rock, probably the place for a leader, and was munching on a bone of the prey she had hunted. She crunched it and swallowed the bone whole, not caring about its sharp edges. They were running out of food, and their water sources were scarce. They were rogues, and were not permitted from ever entering the Wizards' lands. But that didn't mean they couldn't quietly sneak in as all they wanted.

Amsang growled in frustration and scratched her snout with her left paw, her claws slightly coming out.

"We have to find more preys. We are growing more in numbers, and growing less in food sources." she marked, earning her clan's attentions. "We have no choice but to move to another region to find more foods." she sighed.

"But Queen Amsang, the other regions are too far within our reach." one of them interjected. She hummed in frustration, because she agreed as well. "The Royal Lands are our only place of foods."

"But if we continue to stay in this state, in no time, our numbers will be reduced to none." the other member retorted. "We are multiplying, yes, but that doesn't mean we can defeat those wretched magicians."

"We have no choice, Creatures. It's either we stay here and die, or we can escape this damned hell and live a prosperous life out there, where there will be no rules set for us all." Amsang growled. "It's my duty as queen to let you, my clan, decide." she added. The other Creatures were all discussing about their decisions and mumbling some whispering words quietly. She let them take their time and sat down.

Suddenly, they heard footsteps, becoming louder and louder minute by minute. The Creatures were startled and looked at the source where the noises were coming from. There, they saw this strange dark figure walking towards their lair unaccompanied, alone, unarmed.

"T-that's a Wizard!" one of them whispered loudly. The other Creatures rose up from their lying position and stood on all fours, paying attention at the figure walking to them.

"What's he doing here all alone?"

"Is that King Soonghoon?" they gasped. Amsang stood up and looked at him more clearly. She widened her eyes.

"That's not the king." she remarked to confirm them it's someone else. Someone familiar.

"Your race has been known to be able to wipe out a species in just one day of hunting. Why aren't you able to just terminate one individual?" Katar arrived at the scene, interrupting the Creatures.

"Then we can just terminate you instead!" one of them snarled at him. He pounced onto Katar, but the Wizard wasn't playing at all. With his reflexes, he levitated the Creature on air, and twisted his limbs with his telekinetic powers. He threw the body away to the ground. The other Creatures became scared and startled, and backed off. Katar continued speaking as he approached them.

"Why escape this hell, when you can have everything you want?" he scoffed as he walked closer to them.

"And by that, what are we supposed to do?" Amsang glared and came closer to the dark Wizard.

"Take the Royal Lands by force. You can have it all you want." he deeply chuckled.

"The Royal Lands are ruled by your wretched brother King Soonghoon. Why all of a sudden did you intend to be our ally?" Amsang grew suspicious.

"Well, Soonghoon and I have a shattered past as brothers. I have never considered him my family ever since. All I ever want is for him to feel what I felt. His demise would be my gratitude."

"The King has full authorities over the Royal Lands. He is the ruler, and he has the kingdom which he controls." Amsang replied. Katar scoffed and slowly creeped towards her like a stalker hunting its prey, the only difference is he was staring right into her eyes. The other Creatures grew alarmed and growled, thinking that he would attack their matriarch.

Katar walked and moved closer to Amsang, right beside her left ear and whispered,

"That's why we're going to kill him."
