Prequel of Miss
Genre: Angst, DramaMyoui Mina. The penguin, the black swan who danced elegantly, the beauty that could literally attract anyone's eyes. The love of her life. Chaeyoung was indeed extremely lucky to finally have her as her girlfriend after courting her for a year. That's so long, isn't it? What mattered was that Chaeyoung was a very happy girl to be her lover. Let's just say they were the top couple out of the royal ones. They were so popular that both boys and girls would be drooling for them. However, Chaeyoung was just a nobody in the couple, unlike Mina, who was more popular and outgoing.
The day Chaeyoung first laid her eyes on the penguin was when she stopped her from almost falling down the stairs. That moment made her believe in love at first sight. Mina wasn't feeling the same though, but it didn't concern her. Chaeyoung continued to develop feelings for the older girl for years and years until it was finally worth it. Just thinking about those memories already made her smile deeply with her dimples visible. Oh how she really loved her more than anything else in the world. She closed her eyes and smiled, but soon the smile was replaced with a deep sigh escaping her plump lips.
She was sad.
Lately, Mina had been giving her the cold shoulder for months all of a sudden. Their relationship was, could be said, perfect for years, but all of a sudden it got into a crack without any reason. Chaeyoung was terribly confused as to why Mina was suddenly cold and not caring towards her own girlfriend. What did she do wrong? What did she not have that unsatisfied the older girl? Mina would usually come home exhausted, without even properly greeting Chaeyoung, and just went to bed, sleeping peacefully, in contrast to the other younger girl.
However, despite being ignored for months, Chaeyoung still managed to hold on. She still managed to keep on loving the penguin adoringly, even when she herself had noticed the gap and crack in their relationship. It felt like it was about to disintegrate anytime soon. What would it feel like to lose the love of your life? Chaeyoung surely didn't want to overthink about that. Sure, she had probably been bullied many times in high school, but Mina was always there for her. Now, it's different. Mina was rarely there, or even perhaps, never.
She wanted to cry, but found out that she couldn't, and it was even already very painful. She just wanted the penguin to at least notice her girlfriend, to at least give her love like she did. Chaeyoung then realized something she had been planning for a long time.
She had been wanting to ask the girl a certain question. A question of four simple but life-changing words.
'Will you marry me?'
She immediately smiled and thought that could be a great idea, since they had been together for years, or that's what at least she considered. She didn't want to waste more time and hurried out of the house to buy something precious that Mina would certainly love; the ring. She got in her car and started the engine.
"I hope you accept it, Minari, no matter how broken our relationship is right now. I will always love you." she smiled happily as she drove off out of their house.

"Thank you, ahjussi." she bowed at the man who was responsible for making and selling wedding rings. She had finally bought it for her lover. A simple ring with a diamond carved on it. It looked simple yet it meant everything to her. The ring would symbolize the bridge between the two lovers. As the link that connects.
Without procrastinating, Chaeyoung got in her car and searched for Mina. The thing is, she didn't know where to find her. Mina had been going out pretty often these days, and it concerned her. What if she was doing something horrible behind her back? No, she didn't want to overthink again. She had to stay positive. She had to believe in what once Mina told her, right?
