Continuation of Finally
Genre: Dark/HorrorSon Chaeyoung, a young girl whose life was nothing more than a crumpled paper with no more uses left. It sucked to know the fact that she lived in a city where other sexualities that weren't straight were harshly prohibited. It sucked even more that she found out she was a lesbian when she had a huge feeling for a girl, but then that girl was already gone.
Flashback starts
"B-but Mina, I-I love you!" the girl pleaded desperately, her eyes blurry and teary from too much crying. She was on her knees, and softly took ahold of the japanese girl's hands whom she really loved, the girl seemingly giving her a disgusted expression. They were both in the bar, settling things up to answer Mina's curiosity of Chaeyoung's strange sexuality.
"But Chaeyoung, you're a lesbian!" Mina lashed out and let go of her hands harshly, spitting toxic words at the younger girl with no sense of remorse present in her eyes. She didn't even think twice to take back her malignant words. "I-This city doesn't accept gays, lesbians, or even anyone else that's not straight! I-I am straight!" she yelled.
"M-Mina, p-please..." Chaeyoung begged and hugged her legs, trying to hold her off from walking away, like she always did. "G-give me a chance. I-I don't care if you're straight or not, j-just give me a chance to make you fall for me, p-please!" she trembled and her lips shook. Tears were streaming down her smooth cheeks, watering them without her consent. "I-I've always loved you Mina, don't you know that? Why can't you at least.....understand that?" she cried. Mina sighed just by looking at the girl in front of her.
"Chaeyoung, I like you. I really do, but I only see you as nothing more than a friend. I've been wanting for us to become best friends since we first met, but....I can't. People will look at us and consider us outcasts. I-I can't love you. I-I can't..." she sighed. She felt what Chaeyoung felt, she understood her feelings. Looking at her in this state already made her knees weak. They were really close friends, but when Mina found out that the girl had a huge crush on her, she just became shocked, and angry. She couldn't, she really cared about the girl, but she wouldn't ever be forced to love her back just because of having sympathy for the girl.
"Please!" Chaeyoung half-yelled. "We can keep this a secret! No one will ever know!" she sobbed intensely.
"Stop this!" Mina slapped Chaeyoung all of a sudden. "I-I don't wanna do this! I don't wanna be a sinner. I will never betray my family, I will never betray myself." her voice became frail. Chaeyoung was dumbstruck by her sharp tone and her toxic attitude. All she ever wanted was to be loved back. Mina sighed and let go of the girl, walking away to the opposite direction, leaving the girl alone.
"All I want, is to live in a place where people like me are accepted. A place where everyone is free. But seems like I'm wrong, huh." she chuckled bitterly. Mina turned to her in curiousness, and Chaeyoung smiled at her innocently, her dimples showing. It somehow made her weak, her heart beat fast, not because she was awestruck by the girl's cuteness, but because deep inside, she knew another secret about the girl.
The girl she was befriending, the girl who loved her too much.....
was a psychopath.
Chaeyoung opened her eyes, and suddenly stormed to Mina's position, startling the girl. Mina was too shocked to react, and so she froze there, standing still, not possessing the ability to move at all. The next thing she knew was a knife to her chest, and she widened her eyes when she realized Chaeyoung had stabbed her without thinking twice. Her lips trembled and blood started dripping out from her mouth.
"I'll make you mine, Minari." Chaeyoung giggled and plunged the blade deeper into the japanese girl's heart, making her almost not able to scream or even talk. "I'll make you mine, just relax, I'll make you love me." she smiled.
"C-Chaeyoung....." she held her cheek softly and looked at her in the eyes. She used to see a sweet, calm and innocent girl who always read books in the library whenever she had time, a sweet girl who would always treat her friends foods, but now she saw something else. Something different. A monster. A monster she knew no longer. She had not recognized her anymore. "W-why...." she weakened her voice and stumbled onto the ground. She let out her last breath and her body had become lifeless.
Chaeyoung looked at the dead girl in front of her, and suddenly widened her eyes. She looked at the knife and dropped it onto the ground, tears flooding her eyes and her face. She cupped her cheeks and cried out loud, realizing she had killed the love of her life, her lifelong crush. She screamed in agony and punched the ground, blood coming out from her knuckles.
She took another look at the dead girl's body, and put her two index fingers on Mina's bleeding chest, her fingers dripped in red blood. She looked at it and tasted its metallic taste, humming at it. Chaeyoung smirked and traced her fingers around her lips with the blood, forming a smile.
A crooked smile.
"Don't worry, my sweet Minari. I will make a difference to this world. I will make everyone free."
Flashback ends
"Why are you laughing?" the middle-aged woman who happened to be the asylum's interviewer spoke her mind as she looked confusedly at the girl in front of her who had been spending her whole time laughing like an insane maniac who had lost her whole sanity. Her blood smile hadn't even disappeared yet from her lips. It stayed there still.
"Isn't it funny? How the world is so crazy?" Chaeyoung laughed hysterically.
"What's so funny about the world being crazy?" the woman furrowed her eyebrows and clenched her pen.
"Nah, if I tell you, you wouldn't get it." Chaeyoung shook her head and smirked, scoffing.
"I wouldn't get it? Son Chaeyoung, you have been confirmed for murdering Myoui Mina, the daughter of a CEO, burning houses, accused of killing four women in a bathroom, and even you set a whole asylum of lesbians and gays free. Look at our city out there. Look at what they have done. When you set them free, they plagued our city, burned cars, gunned down men and women, abducted children. This is why our world strongly prohibits people that are not straight." she growled.
"Well, that's the joke, isn't it?" Chaeyoung giggled and put her cuffed hands on top of the table. "I started a revolution of the new era. It's time for humans to truly let others be free. Do you know why people like me did that? It's because their freedoms were taken away from them by force when they had been found out as non-straight. They just wanted to be accepted, but instead all they ever got was exiles. This world is a damned hell full of religious people not permitting others to believe in what they want. This world is full of awful people, and you are one of them." Chaeyoung's expression turned deadpan serious, and stared at the woman emotionlessly. "Mrs. Park, I am just one of the people who just need a little acceptance and we'll all be good." she winked and smiled bloodily.
-
Chaeyoung opened the door and got out of the interview room, dancing happily and tiptoeing childishly while giggling. She danced around while grooving to the imaginary music in her insane mind. As she walked further, there were stains of blood on the floor on the footsteps.
The movie Joker inspired me to make this one. You should go see it, it's beautifully dark and real.
