"Should you really be doing that?" Jade asks as I fill up water bottles with alcohol. Hard liquors, vodka for soft days.
"Don't worry. They won't miss it," I shrug. I quickly tighten the lid back on and replace it in the cabinet. I don't bother replacing the missing contents with water. My parents know it's me. They've added locks and changed locations but I always find it or I can buy it with my fake.
I head over to my duffel bag and open it. Weed, molly, ecstasy, opioids and now alcohol. I'm set for fun. "Look Prystyne, I know I shouldn't speak on what happened to you and how you deal with it but-"
"Then don't. Thanks for your input Jade, I love you but I'm fine," I assure. I can't keep having people stop me from having fun and doing what I want to do. All my life I have and that's led me to shit. Now it's my turn.
"PRYSTYNE! Your ride's here!" Penn shouts. I quickly wrap and cover my drugs with my clothes. The rest of my luggage is downstairs already. "Ma!"
"Come come Money!" I hold my hands to Harmony. She bounces in her mom's laps with her hands out to me. I lift her up holding her on my waist. "I'm going to miss you so much," I rub my nose against hers making her giggle.
I throw my duffel bag over my shoulder and walk downstairs with Jade. "Oh Jade. I didn't know you were here. Hi," Penn shyly says. I roll my eyes, he's always had a crush on her. He's just not good with talking to girls. At all. Sometimes I wonder how he even had girlfriends.
We reach the bottom step and I hand my bag off to the butler. "Hey Penn," Jade smiles. She is as blind as a bat and refuses to accept the fact that Penn has a crush on her. I told her but apparently she 'doesn't see it' her words not mine.
I adjust Harmony in my arms as she begins playing with my dark brown, off black hair. "Where's our parents?" I ask Penn. He shrugs not knowing the answer. They're probably at the office.
"Alright hold my daughter," I pass Harmony off to Penn and fetch my shoes. I sit on the steps and begin tying my laces. "You do know she's not actually related to you. Right?" Penn reminds me.
I stand back up and face him. "Shush uncle Penn. She has my hazel eyes and curly dark hair," I point out. Except I'd straighten my hair last night.
"Whatever. Give me a hug," Penn holds out his free arm. I lean in hugging him. "I'll see you whenever Penn. Unless I end up being like Heath and never come back. Are we sure he's still there or is he dead?" I question. Penn laughs pulling away and I go to hug Jade.
I pull away from Jade's hug and face Harmony once again. I lift her and pepper her cheeks with kisses. "Thanksgiving you'll be home. Don't sweat it," Penn assures. I hand Harmony back to Jade and give them one last hug.
"Harmy be good to mommy. I'll see you guys later I guess," I shrug.
"Good grades! No more drugs," Penn reminds me.
"No promises. Byeeee!" I drawl walking out the door. I get into my limo without looking back. New begginings. Argh, Harmony makes me go soft.

I've been waiting in this stupid office for ten years. Apparently I'm supposed to be waiting for my tour guide. Like I need a tour guide. "I'm here! I'm here! Sorry I'm late," a gigglish dirty blonde walks in. She looks around the office before meeting my eyes.
"Hi! Maya Ripley, sorry about the wait," she holds out her hand. I stand up with my luggage sitting by my feet. By first impressions I feel like we won't be friends. But something is telling me otherwise.
