❤︎After a long very uncomfortable, violating search a nurse leads me out the room. "Alright Prystyne how are you feeling? Ready to see the other kids," Tammy asks. She's the nurse.
"I feel completely violated," I mutter walking down the hall with her. At least the socks are nice.
She laughs as if it's a joke. "You'll get used to it. Alright everyone!" Tammy claps her hands together as we reach the common room. Tons of kids sitting around, some watching tv, some playing and one talking. "This is Prystyne. Let's welcome her, yes?" Tammy says.
A girl with black hair stands up and walks over to me. "Of course nurse Tammy. Don't worry," she assures. Nurse Tammy nods before walking off.
"What's up. I'm Jordyn," she smiles.
"Prystyne," I reciprocate.
"I like your name. Follow me," she leads me over to a table and grabs a chair. The table already has two others sitting down. "That's Wren," she points to a black haired boy. A scar running down his face. "And that's Drake." She points to the blond boy next to me.
"I'm here because I'm gay and my parents think I'm insane. They've tried conversation camps too. None worked," he explains.
"I'm here because I'm depressed and sometimes suicidal. Wren," Jordyn says looking at him.
Wren places down his cards and sits up straight. "Bipolar and anger issues. A harm to others when mad. But it's not true, only people I hate," he adds. I laugh lightly.
Everyone stares at me and I soon realize they're waiting on my response. "Oh I overdosed and my parents sent me here. I wouldn't say I have a drug addiction but I do a lot of drugs. Oh and I have BPD," I add.
Jordyn lifts her hand and I high-five it. "You guys are like mental illness cousins," she laughs. "Alright deal her in." Everyone places the cards in the middle and begins shuffling them
As Jordyn shuffles I notice the self harm scars on her arms. I don't say anything. I look away out of privacy. I don't want to make her uncomfortable.
"Who's your roommate?" Drake asks.
"Uhh. A girl named Lily," I try to recall.
"Yikes," Wren mutters.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"Homicidal. But don't worry. I'm sure you'll be fine," Jordyn assures. Great, I already have a roommate who's insane and will probably try to kill me.
"Meds!" A nurse yells. Tammy walks over to me with a tray. A plastic cup of water and a small cup of three pills.
I do not want to know why there are three "No thank you Tammy," I mumble placing down a card.
"I'd take it if I were you. They'll seriously hold you down," Jordyn whispers. I roll my eyes and take the pills swallowing them without the water.
Tammy stands still. I open my mouth moving my tongue around letting her take a look. "Should you really be giving pills to a drug addict. Isn't that like adding gasoline to a fire," I ask, receiving a few laughs.
"Not if we give you the right amount. Thank you for asking," Tammy says nicely.
"Yeah just wait till I overdose and kill myself," I mutter receiving gasp from the nurse. "Sorry. My bad!" They went over rules with me. I'm not allowed to say anything along the lines of killing myself even if I'm being sarcastic.
❤︎
Food sucked, the movie sucked. Now it's bedtime. I hate these socks they gave me. I walk into my room seeing my roommate Lily.
