~ Mrs. Variety - Leon Thomas ~
❤︎"The boys are late," Maya says sitting down. I sit down next to her placing my tray of food in front of me. "Yeah it's kind of weird," I reply. We don't think much of it and begin talking.
"AYO!" Our heads snap to the door. Tag and Levi both come running to us. They sit across from us. "Football game tonight," Tag mentions.
"You two are coming," Levi adds.
"Lit. Tag your playing?" I ask. He's passionate about football. I've never seen him play but he wants to go pro so he has to be better than good.
Levi reaches across the table taking a few of my fries. I don't mind. "Of course. I suppose you're going to be cheering for me?" Tag hums.
I take the last bite of my food and finish it. I let out a soft laugh. "Let's see how well you play first. I don't cheer on losers," I say standing up. I push the rest of my fries to Levi and he happily takes them.
"Wait where's Heath?" Maya asks standing up. I noticed his missing presence but never cared to ask.
Tag and Levi both share a look. "Library!" "Sick!" They both retort at the same time. I raise a brow. "Sick!" "Library!" Their words switch around.
"You guys are horrible liars. Just be lucky I don't care."
Tag throws his arm over my shoulder leading me out the cafeteria. Levi and Maya following behind. "Good. You know I like you. Other people don't know how to mind their fucking businessss," he drawls with an annoyed groan. I laugh as he walks me back to my dorm.
❤︎
"Here," Maya hands me red and black face paint. I push her hand back. "I'm good," I assure. I rather not. "Suit yourself. I've got team spirit," she gloats.
My eyes scan over the top of the bleachers finding
Free seats at the end. "Alright. The back," I begin walking up steps until my arm is pulled back."We have to sit in the front. Team support," Maya whispers. I let out an unruly childlike groan.
"Do we have to?" She doesn't bother answering and grabs my arm pulling me. We end up sitting right behind the football players from their benches. Only a few feet from them. Nothing but a short fence separating us.
"Yo 26!" I shout. Tag turns around flashing me a smile. The coach calls them all in and he heads to them.
"Food," a pack of candy held right in front of my eyes. I grab the candy and look up to Levi who sits next to me. "Thank goodness." He tosses another pack of candy over to Maya who thanks him with a smile.
We begin watching the game. It's close to halftime and Heath still hasn't shown up. Not that I care. Tag is a superlative football player. In all honesty and based on his skills, he could seriously go pro.
He approaches us, taking off his helmet. "How was that?" He climbs up on the fence throwing his arms over to talk to us.
"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," I huff out. Tag lets out a laugh.
"So did I earn myself a cheerleader?"
"Oh most definitely. Go Panthers!" I shout, pumping my fist into the air.
"We're coyotes," he corrects.
"Go Coyotes!" I rephrase while repeating the same actions.
"Finally a good cheerleader," another guy appears next to Tag. He fist bumps Tag and stares straight at me. It would be a lie if I said he wasn't good looking.
