❤︎"Morning! Where are Ajax and Heath?" I ask, sitting down. Papers, textbooks and writing stationary spread across our food table.
"They went to get coffee," Levi retorts without looking up from his textbook. Exams are tomorrow so they gave us the day off today.
I realize Heath and Ajax's backpacks are still here. And I'm bored because everyone is studying. I walk over to Heath's and open it up. "I don't think Heath would appreciate that," Tag mutters as he writes something down.
"Shhh," I hush him searching through. "Bingo!" I pull out three blunts. Little bastard was hiding it. I walk back to my regular seating just in time.
Ajax and Heath both place down coffee and donuts in the centre of the table. I reach for a coffee and donut. Everyone else is quietly studying.
"I'm bored, I need entertainment. What do you guys want to do?" I ask.
"We are busy. Maybe you should try studying," Maya suggests.
I scoff. "Well I'm going for a walk," I pick up another donut.
"We'll be in the library after lunch if you want to crack out your textbook," Levi informs. "Alright later," I wave walking off.
After a short walk I reach the coffee shop. "Luke! I'm bored, give me something to do!" I shout walking in. Luke seems to have his hands full.
"One of my employees called in sick and it's exam week so we are busy. Can you make coffee?" He asks. I nod. He tosses me an apron and places down a notepad and pen on the table. "Perfect. Take orders, get coffee. Dylan is in the back if you need help," he informs.
I put on the apron and head to the sink. I quickly wash my hands before picking up the pen and notepad. I walk to tables and tables taking orders.
"Footballers! What can I get for you," I ask, noticing Kai and a few other football players from our school. Except Tag, he's with the others.
They all have their papers and textbooks spread over the table. "Just coffee. Hey do you know how to do this?" Kai asks. I lean over and look at his work.
"Yeah here," I take his pencil and begin writing down on his paper. "Just have to..." I begin explaining.
"Ohhhh. I get it now. Thanks," he smiles.
"No problem. So orders?" I ask. Everyone ends up ordering coffee, muffins and a sandwich.
"Wait! Are you good at math?" One of the football players asks. I look behind me realizing more people are coming in.
I turn back to him. "Let me make rounds, get your food and I'll come help you afterwards. Deal?" I ask. They nod. I walk back to the counter and begin preparing meals.
"You're doing pretty well. I'll be sure to pay you. You sure you don't want a job here?" Luke asks as I make the coffees.
I shake my head with a small laugh. "Luke you don't have to pay me. I help all my friends free of charge," I assure. I place the coffees on a tray.
He follows me as I walk over to a table. I hand out the coffees to each person. "Seriously though. You can't be doing this for free. Minimum wage," he decides on. I shake my head as I walk back to the counter.
"Luke, free of charge. If you need help, just ask me. My parents are loaded and I don't care for money," I tell him.
"Shouldn't you be preparing for exams like everyone else? Wesley exams aren't a joke and you're working free," he says. I shrug. I've already learned half the shit I did in class in middle school.
