Karl placed his hand a bit closer to the cat, who gladly ran forwards to play with it. The kitten swiped at his hand, and Karl laughed softly.

For the past two days, Karl was alone at the house. Sapnap went off to his parents after an argument, and Quackity disappeared and didn't return for these few days. Sure, Karl was absolutely concerned, but both males texted Karl a reassurance that they were, in fact, alive. That was just enough for Karl to continue with his day, with a little less concern.

In the meantime, this just meant Karl got to spend some time with Tiger. As much as Karl considered going somewhere else, the kitten was there to remind him that he shouldn't leave him alone.

So much for Quackity and Sapnap taking care of Tiger.

Karl pulled his hand away, and stood up, "Let's get you some food, alright?"

Karl started to walk over to the kitchen, and Tiger followed along, practically attached to Karl's ankle. When Karl got to the cat food bag, he quickly opened it up and poured some into a bowl. He placed the bowl onto the ground, and Tiger ran over to it, meowing and starting to eat.

Karl smiled softly.

After a moment of watching Tiger eat, from behind him, Karl heard someone clear their throat.

Right away, he turned around to figure who was there. Quackity. Karl nearly broke down seeing him. Quackity was here for now. His hair was a mess under his beanie, he had eyebags, he wore a sweater and shorts. And his neck was practically clear from what Wilbur gave him.

For some reason - Karl found a lot more relaxation in that fact compared to anything else. Of course, Karl was terribly concerned for Quackity. Why wasn't he sleeping now? How dressed was he? Was everything okay for him?

"Heeeeeey, Karlll," Quackity gave Karl a super awkward grin, and Karl giggled softly. Karl already found himself walking closer to Quackity, and pulling Quackity into a hug. Quackity hugged back and sniffled slightly.

Even better, Quackity has been crying recently. Now Karl was even more concerned for Quackity. "It's okay, Quackity.."

Quackity nodded, and coughed, "I should've been here sooner.."

Karl pulled away from Quackity and Quackity smiled at Karl. Then, Quackity's eyes met down to Tiger, who was still happily munching on food. "Cat responsibilities, huh?"

"Yup, I am a qualified cat carer, now," Karl smirked, and poked Quackity in the ribs, who laughed as a response.

"Where is Sapnap?" Quackity asked. Quackity started to walk over to the couch and motioned for Karl to follow. Karl started to chew on his lip as he tried to figure out a way to explain they argued about Quackity and decided to have space for a few days to a week.

"Argument, he's at his parents." Karl allowed himself to drop onto the couch, across where Quackity was sitting.

Quackity raised his eyebrows in surprise, "You kicked out big bad top, Sapnap?"

Karl's face immediately flushed red with the idea of that, "You really had to add that?"

"Yeah, I really did." Quackity laughed softly.

"He kicked himself out, for the time being." Karl quickly explained. Quackity nodded and made himself more comfortable on the couch. They fell silent for a moment. Karl was honestly perfectly fine with that. He would have been fine if they remained silent for the rest of the afternoon.
