After 3 weeks in the glade, I felt a lot better. I still slept outside, but that wasn't a big deal. I loved it in the glade. Newt woke me up. "Come with me I got to show you something." I walked behind him, and he took me to the woods. We walked to a small lake. "here sit down." He said. "take your shoes and socks off," I laughed and did what he said. He put his feet in the water and so did I. "its cold," I said laughing. "I come here almost every day, mostly alone but I thought you would like it" I looked at him. His eyes were beautiful, just like his voice and hair. "Newt, I do have a question," I said looking at him. "ask me" I looked at the water."the last days I noticed you're limping, was that because of the maze?"he looked at the water."Look Addi, I was a greenie once as well. I just couldn't find my spot in the Glade. I felt like something was missing. I just. Couldn't be happy in this place. So one day I went into the maze and climbed up the ivy. I jumped down. Luckily they found me and the med jacks helped me." I saw a tear running down his face."I'm so sorry."I said while my eyes started to water as well."No, it's okay, it's the past, when you came in the maze that feeling of missing something went away, in this week you have become a great friend Addi" I looked in his eyes and our heads got closer. Just before our lips touched each other Alby came towards us. "am I interrupting something?" he laughed. Newt and I got up. "what's the deal?" Newt asked. "the box just came up again."

We ran towards the place where the box would come up again. I looked down. There was a guy sitting in the box, age around 16 or 17. He looked scared. "look at that shank" "how old is he?" "dude it smells like feet down here" all the guys were talking through each other. Nobody jumped down so I did. "your okay?" I asked. "where am I" he looked around. I heard Newt yell to come back, but I didn't listen. "your in the glade, come up then our leader can tell your more about it," I said while I helped him up. We climbed out of the box and Newt came towards me. "don't do that again, what if he was aggressive?" I grabbed Newt his hand. "he looked scared" The boy was standing behind me, too scared to show himself. Alby walked towards him. "nice to meet ya greenie, welcome to the glade" The boy was looking around."look at that green bean, gonna break his shuck neck checkin' out the new digs" I heard Gally say. I walked towards him. "shut it. He's new and he's scared. Don't make it worse" he looked at me. "Addi, don't talk to me like that. You enjoyed our first night. I was the first to help you so don't act like this now" I looked him in the eyes. "Addi, come on" Newt said while he grabbed my arm."yea, walk away with your boyfriend," Gally said. I wanted to turn around, but Newt stopped me. "ignore him, lets go inside" I walked inside with Newt."I'm going to help Alby with the greenie" Newt said before he left. I walked upstairs. Chuck was laying there again. He hurt his wrist while we were playing tag. I always played tag with him so he felt more home. He was not that old, but he was very sweet. "how is ya wrist doing? I said with a smile. "better, I hear there is a new greenie," he said with a smile. I told him about the new greenie and gave him a kiss on his forehead. He was like a little brother to me. "I'm going outside to help with the food. I check up on you tonight again" I walked downstairs again and saw Newt sitting with the greenie. I walked towards Gally. "hey I'm sorry I didn't mean to act like this, let's cook dinner together"

Gally and I were cooking and talking about Gally his life in the glade. "you know, people think I'm not scared and stuff but, every night I have this awful dreams" he said. I looked at him. We were cutting some onions. "Gally... why didn't you tell me?"I asked."I'm not a.."before he could finish I cut myself."fuck," I yelled while grabbing my hand. Newt heard it and ran towards me. "Addi, what did you do" before I could answer he looked at my hand and then at Gally. Gally was holding a knife. "you son of a bitch" Newt ran towards Gally and punched him."Newt don't I cut myself," I said running towards them. I grabbed his arm and pulled him off Gally. Alby came as well and helped me. He took Newt with him to the wooden hut. "Gally I'm so sorry, let me take care of you," I said while helping him up. "its okay, I deserved it after how I treated you. I looked at him and helped him in a bed. I took care of his wounds and bruises. Just when I was holding his face to see the cut at his eye better. Newt walked in. "aah, I see how it is, first playing with my feelings now Gally" He walked away. No Newt wait. "Go after him. It's okay." Gally said. I ran towards Newt. "Newt I was taking care of his wounds it's Nothing I swear" He looked at me with tears in his eyes. I didn't think and I grabbed his face, I pulled him closer and kissed him. He grabbed my waist. Around us people started clapping, even the greenie. I laughed and look Newt in his eyes. "I'm sorry." I said. "don't be, you can do it more often," he said while he winked and walked away.
