A Way Out

When the gathering ended we all walked out. I thanked Newt one more time and went to Frypan to help. I needed to get my head on other things. I walked towards him. "your a runner now huh?" I laughed. "I guess so" he looked at me."Addi, if someone deserves it, its you" I gave him a hug. "Thankyou Fry" We started working on the dinner. After half an hour we were done, and we gave everyone a plate at the fireplace. Gally walked towards Thomas and me. I already knew what was going to happen, so I gave Newt a hug and walked with Gally. He leaded us to the pit and locked us in. "Gally, why do you hate me so much," Thomas asked all of the sudden. Gally looked at him but ignored him and walked away. "What a shuck face," he said. I looked at Thomas. "hes hurt" Thomas looked at me."Maybe he is, but he doesn't have the right to act like this" after an hour Chuck came walking towards us. "I got some food for the both of you, tomorrow is going to be a big day" I looked up and Chuck handed us the food."thankyou Chuck" he watched us eat and we gave him the plate again. "what you got there" Thomas asked while pointing at a little figure Chuck was holding. He showed it to us. "thats beautiful Chuck, for who is it?" I asked while I gave it back. "its for my parents" Thomas looked at him."you can remember them?"Chuck looked down."no, but they can remember me. Probably miss me" he looked at Thomas. "here, I want you to give it to him if we come out" he handed the figure. Just before he wanted to walk away Thomas gave it back to him. "I want you to give it yourself," he smiled at us before he walked away again. I turned to Thomas. "we will get out right?" he nodded. "yes of course we will" I looked down."let's go to sleep, tomorrow we have something important to do."

I already felt in sleep after a few minutes. We got woken up by Minho. He opened the pit and let us out. "let's go, the doors will open any minute" we walked towards the doors. Newt was waiting there as well. "Stay safe please," he said while he hugged me. "I will, don't worry Newt," Minho looked at us."I'll take care of her mate" Newt nodded and turned to me again. "I believe in you Addi. You will get us out" I looked at him with a smile."I will" I kissed him on the cheek and turned to Minho and Thomas. The doors opened. "let's go."

We started running, and Thomas and I followed Minho. We went two times right and one time left. I tried to remember it. We arrived at a big open place. "Keep running we are almost at seven" seven was the number which was standing on the device, here on the walls were also numbers. We ran and arrived at four, then five, then six and after a few minutes running we arrived at seven. "strange," Minho said while we walked towards the gate from seven. "what?" I asked. "Seven is not supposed to be open for another week" we walked through the gates. I saw huge panels which were standing on the ground. "what the hell is this place" Thomas asked just as confused as I was."we call em blades "I looked around. I understood why they were called like that. We walked through them when the device in Minho's pocket started beeping. I grabbed it and looked at it. I followed the sound from the device, when we walked the wrong way it made a weird sound. Thomas stopped me and pointed at something on the ground. "what is that'' Minho walked towards it and grabbed it."Ben his stuff, the grievers must have taken him here" I looked away. "lets walk further" I said while I followed the sound again.

After a while we were at some sort of gate. We walked inside while the beeping got harder. "Minho, you ever seen this place?" Thomas asked. He looked around him "no," his voice echoed through the place. We stopped at a wall. "fuck its a dead end," Minho whispered. Right before I wanted to walk away the device clicked and the red number turned green. The wall opened just like two walls after. We looked inside and decided to walk farther. We stopped at a wall with a hole in it. Minho felt at the edge. "grievers" while he said that a red light appeared and scanned us. We heard an alarm and clicking. "we need to get out of here," Thomas said. We started running, and the walls behind us were closing again. "fuck don't look back and run," Minho yelled. We ran as fast as possible to the end. The blades were closing at well. "they're trying to lock us, run!" I yelled. We ran as fast as possible through the blades. Thomas got split from us on the other side. "Thomas fast," Minho yelled. Suddenly he came between the blades and ran with us again. Before us the walls started falling. "left," Minho yelled while we ran to the left. We jumped in a little space which was closing as well. Just in time we got out and the walls closed. "that was close," I said. "let's go back," Minho suggested while he started running. We ran back and everyone was already waiting. Newt ran towards us. "you found something?" Minho looked at us. "yea, we found a way out."
