After a few minutes in the watchtower Newt and I went down. It already got dark. We got to the campfire, and I sat next to Teresa and Newt. Before I could even start with the food Frypan just gave me Chuck interrupted me. "Addi, can you sing a song for Ben" I looked up. "I don't think thats the right time now Chuck" Newt said while he hold my hand. "no its okay let me think" Teresa looked confused."They like my voice, so they want me to sing," I said. She laughed. It isn't that bad we can watch the stars" she laughed, and we laid down in the grass. After a few minutes we both fell asleep. Early in the morning I woke up. I woke up Teresa as well. "It's your first day. I'll show you everything today, let's start at the runners" she looked confused but stood up. We walked towards the gates. "this are the gates, behind these there is the maze. Every day the runners go into the maze to map it" she looked at me. "do they open those doors" she pointed at the doors."no they open out themselves, and every evening they close again" she looked interested. After a few minutes Minho and Alby walked towards us. "Morning girls" I looked up."that is Minho. He is a runner"Alby looked at me"so am I today, since the banishing I can't let Minho alone in the maze so I'll go with him" I looked shocked. "Stay safe" I hugged them both and the doors opened. Teresa looked full of fear. "don't be scared they will come back," I said. They ran Into the maze. "what if they don't" I looked up."They will."

The rest of the day I showed her every inch of the Glade. She then helped me with some easy jobs at the med jacks. After a few hours we went to the doors from the maze again. "They can come back any minute now, after that we take care of them" she nodded and sat down. I sat down next to here. With every minute which passed I got more scared and more people joined around us. "Alby was like a brother to me. I couldn't lose him. We waited and waited but they didn't come. I walked towards Newt who was talking with Thomas. "they're just late," I said when I saw the scared face from Thomas. "Guys the doors are closing," Chuck said. I looked up and ran towards the doors. "fuck" I whispererd."There! Something is wrong with Alby," Gally screamed. I looked up, Alby was too heavy for Minho. I didn't think and ran into the maze. "Minho let me help with Alby we need to hurry" he looked at me and I helped him carry Alby. "Run Addi And Minho come one!" we heard people yell. "we can do this," I said. My back started hurting, but I tried to think about something else. the doors were almost closed now, "let Alby go and run" I hear Newt yell. I looked at Minho. "we can't leave him" Minho nodded, and we tried to run. Minho fell down. "Minho please stand up," I yelled but it was too late. The doors were too far to run through them. I fell on my knees. "Newt, I love you," I yelled. I saw him turning around. What if he would try to kill himself again. "I come back" but then all of the sudden I saw Thomas running."Thomas no!" I yelled but it was too late. The doors closed behind him. "great job, you 2 just killed yourself" I heard Minho say.

I looked at Alby. "what happened to him" Minho looked down. "he got stung" I looked at him. "we need to find a place where we can hide him," Thomas said. I looked at him. "maybe in the vines?" I said. We all stood up and carried Alby to the vines. We lifted him up when we heard a sound. Minho looked at the left. A griever. He ran away and me and Thomas held Alby up. Thomas pulled me under the vibes and did his hand before my mouth. A griever walked past us. When he was away we lifted Alby some more. "this will be good enough," I said. Just when Thomas wanted to say something, something fell on the ground. "What is that, it's slimy? I said. Thomas looked up. "fuck, run! I'ts a griever."
