Third pov

With the exception of a few moments in her daily life, Elise was starting to seem somewhat comfortable in her own skin again.

No matter how much time she spent in the sun she was still pale as ever, something she only laughed at when it was pointed out to her.

She helped fixing cars with the others, usually old pieces of junk with the exception of a few people asking for help with their race cars.

"We're out of food. Can anyone go to the store?"

Elise dried her hands on a towel. "I can go."

Earl sighed in relief, he hadn't been looking forward to having to go himself. "Thanks E." He balled up the list with what to buy and tossed it to her.

"No problem."

She grabbed her jacket and was met by Han on her way out.

"Want company?"

"Sure."

"Looking forward to the weekend?"

Elise hummed, tossing potato chips into the basket. "Yeah, I think it's going to be fun. You looking forward to it?"

"Yup."

Han dropped several candy packets into the basket making Elise laugh. "Y'know I'm snatching the gummy bears from you as soon as possible."

"Counting on it." He laughs. "Not like it would be the first time."

"I used to steal candy from you before?"

"I'm the one that got you hooked on gummy bears." He shook his head in amusement. "Haven't gotten any for myself since."

Elise laughed so hard her stomach started to hurt and the other guy in the aisle left.

"I don't think that's going to change, if I'm being honest."

Han, still chukling himself, wraps an arm around her shoulders. "I don't mind. It's better than seeing Sean eat wasabi like it's strawberries."

That sent her into another fit of laughter.

It took a while but they did get out of the store with their shopping. Arms filled with bags of food and snacks and soda.

They talked while they walked, an easy air around the conversation, until they reached an intersection and Elise felt her heart starting to hammer.

"Elise?"

She set one of the bags onto the ground and rubbed a hand over her heart.

Han put a hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm just-" She swallowed. "My heart is beating really fast."

The man beside her looked around. "Do you recognize this road?"

"Should I?"

"Well, this is where you crashed."

She looked around, the whole place was strangely empty for the time.

"I couldn't see the car, he came out of nowhere." The words feel physically painful. "It's all- just mixed, together."

"Hey, let's go home."

She nods, letting out a breath. "Yeah. Got any stories you can tell?"

"Well, I do have one that you were in. It ended up with a trip to the Middle-East."

When friday came everything was set up. Snacks, drinks, music and lights.

Elise had (after a lot of begging from Reiko) gotten dressed in ripped jeans, black ankle boots, a tanktop and a skull necklace.

"You look amazing!" Reiko squealed.

She twirls. "I have to admit. You were right that it'd look good."

The party was in full swing, the different rooms filled with people and loud music.

Elise was having fun and dancing, she even got to try a drink since she is officially of legal drinking age in Japan.

"Having fun?" Sean asked, voice loud to be heard over the music.

She nodded her head enthusiastically. "Where do you have Neela?"

"She had to go home." He shrugged. "Kamata wanted to speak with her."

The room is filled with people. All hostile but curious at just what they're doing there. The bag is heavy in her hand.

"We have something that belongs to you sir."

"E?" Sean puts a hand on her forhead. "You alright?"

"I'm fine, you wanna get some air?"

After recieving a nod they made their way outside where a few others were taking a smoke break.

"Ahh, fresh air." Elise stretched her arms towards the sky. It was a little cold but it felt nice on her warm skin.

"Soo, how are you and Han?"

"I like him. He's nice and make me happy." It may have been the alcohol, but Elise didn't see a reason to lie. "He bought me gummy bears!"

Sean smiled. Amused with his best friend. "That's good. How much have you had to drink?"

"Three shots. I don't know of what but either way I think I'm a light weight."

The figure watching the two friends heard them laugh from where he was standing.

Elise Jason and Sean Boswell..... One more trouble than the other and when mixed together (according to records) a terror to behold.

He smirked and shook his head, retreating before they could start feeling watched.
