Elise pov
I sigh as I watch the others play soccer from where I'd been sitting for the last hour. The chill is starting to set in ever so slowly.
Sean and Han is standing not far from me. Twinkie had been angry with Sean for a couple hours until he suddenly changed his mind.
I took a sip of my water. The slight breeze made me wish I'd taken a warmer shirt.
Third pov
Sean stood looking at the others playing. "So how did you end up here anyway?"
Han doesn't hesitate to answer. "You know those western movies where cowboys make a run for the border? This is my Mexico."
Sean looks over the people below them. "Why did you let me race with your car? You knew I'd crash it."
A look flashes over Han's face. "Why not?"
Sean looks at him. "Cause it's a lot of money."
Han grimaced. "I have money, it's trust and character i need around me. It's who you choose to be around that determines who you are, one car in exchange of knowing what a guy is made of. That's a price I can live with."
Sean nodded in slight understanding. "What about Elise? Is she someone you'd trust?"
Han looks over at Elise as she watches the others playing. "Yeah, she is." He said leaving it at that.
Elise pov
After some time a jacket is hold in front of me. I look up in surprise and I see Han holding out a jacket to me. "It's chilly sunshine, don't want you getting cold."
I take it. "Thanks." I mumble while putting it on. A small smile is on his face. "Are you and Sean going out for a drive?"
He nods before heading inside. A mess of emotions grow in my stomach as I realize the jacket smells like Han. Damn it! I'm not supposed to like him! I groan and lean back against the wall. Pulling out my phone I send a quick text to Sean and Reiko before I head home.
The streets are lit up by signs and lights. I wrap the borrowed jacket harder around me as I walk. A car pulls up beside me making my heart jump. The window rolls down to show Neela driving. "Hey can I give you a ride home?"
A frown grows on my face. "I don't know..."
She sighs. "Please? Tokyo isn't the safest place at night."
I give in. "Fine." I get in.
Almost the whole ride is silent before Neela attempts a conversation. "How are you liking Tokyo?"
I shrug. "It's alright, I just wish Sean would be more careful than he is."
"He isn't the best on keeping out of trouble."
I laugh. "Definitely not. He attracts it. Can't say I'm that much better or I wouldn't be here."
Neela frowns. "I heard about Takashi, be careful around him."
As we reach my apartment I get out. "You don't need to worry about me." Is all I say before walking away.
Vote and comment, it keeps me motivated :)
