Third pov
Followed.
She felt followed.
No.
Not felt.
Someone had started following her.
White hair was hidden by a hood and she was clutching her pocket knife.
She'd be home soon.
Not much left.
A hand grabs her shoulder-
And she wakes up with her heart beating hard enough for it to hurt.
Her mouth is dry, probably because she slept with it wide open.
It's early, too early to really be awake but she is and why not get an early start.
She pulls on an old t-shirt, a pair of jeans and socks. The garage is pleasantly cool as she makes her way to the kitchen to make something to eat.
A sandwich and a glass of juice later had her back to fixing a car that's supposed to be picked up later that day.
"Early day, Sunshine?" Han took a look at the engine of the car. "Nightmares?"
"Yes and yes. Figured I'd do something productive since I can't sleep." Elise wiped her hands on a rag. "Think the owner's gonna be happy?"
"Definitely." He inspected the car. "I got another coming in for you later."
She laughed. "Tell me it's a good one. I don't think I can take another one like Mrs Mendez car." The only other american she'd met outside her friend group. Lovely woman, awful car.
"It's a good one, promise." He leaned against the side of the car as she closed the hood.
The silence is nice.
"How much do you remember about driving?"
She shrugged. "I know how to drive. I remember loving it, well, except for when we got hit."
They don't really talk about it, the team. She knows her memories are a bit of a slippery slope that they're afraid of. But she remembers some things, slowly. It takes time, but they're coming back slowly. And as far as the doctor said that's a good thing.
"You remember that?"
"Yeah, things are... Slow, inside my head, but they're coming back, little by little." She confessed.
Han made a humming noise and something came flying towards her.
She barely had the time to catch it.
Car keyes.
"Wanna go for a ride, Sunshine?"
She smiles, a warm, sunny feeling in her chest. "Hell yeah."
Han helped her with the things she hestated on when it came to starting the car.
"It might be best to keep to the less populated streets."
She had to agree. "Where are we going?"
"That's up to you."
So, she drives aimlessly for a while, both talking about anything they can come up with. She knows he's, according to others, not very talkative, but he's never had any issues talking with her.
She loves his voice.
It's as easy to admit as breathing.
It scares her a little.
She sees a turn up ahead and takes it with ease, knowing exactly where it leads. Not really thinking about it she cracks a joke that makes him smile.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Time skip
Elise switches her time between hanging out with Sean, doing her own thing and going on drives with Han.
The empty spaces in her head are coming back, slowly but surely. There's still some things that are locked off inside her mind, not all things she cares about, some things that never cross her mind.
And some things she cares a lot about.
She shakes her head to herself. She's got music in one ear (thank god for headphones) and grocery bags in her hands.
"Hey, you!"
It's not a voice she recognizes, not even in english because that's what he's shouting in.
Her steps go faster towards the car.
"Elise Jason."
She doesn't like it but her feet seems to stop of her own accord and her head turns to see the guy that stood a lot closer than she thought.
I need some help. Ideas for things to happen?
Please?
Vote and comment, it keeps me motivated :)
