Elise stared at the painting behind the desk. It wasn't anything specific, just different colors with no rhyme or reason.

Amanda had left thirty minutes or so earlier.

She heard the door open.

"Elise?"

That voice..... No.. It couldn't be.

"They sent for you?" She refused to look at him as he moved to stand in her field of vision. Just for the sake of being childish she turned her head away. She heard her father sigh.

"They called me when you went missing. You've been gone for two weeks Elie, two weeks."

"DON'T call me Elie. It's Elise, okay! You have no right to call me Elie!" Elise gripped the armrests so her hands turned white. She didn't want to talk to her dad. He always manages to rile her up by just being in the same room. She just wanted him to go away.

"I'm your father-"

"YOU ABANDONED ME! YOU COULDN'T HANDLE BEING A PARENT AND LEFT ME TO RAISE MYSELF! I WAS ALONE WHILE YOU SPENT ALL THOSE YEARS IN IRAK WHEN I NEEDED YOU DAMN IT!" Unshed tears of anger filled her eyes. "I needed you. You weren't there. You couldn't handle being there. Well guess what? I haven't seen you for the last six years and I don't giva a damn what anyone says, i don't need you now." She let all her anger and resentment pour out.

Danny sighed. "I'm still the only family you have."

"No. You aren't my fucking family. My family is in Japan, Sean is there and so is Reiko and Earl and Twinkie and guess what? I fell in love there too." She glared at him.

"Yeah, I know who he is. He's ten years older than you, you know that? And according to records he's a womanizer too." Danny took a step back as she looked like she was going to hit him.

"Records. You read some records? According to records my best friend is nothing but a criminal, according to records some of the greatest people I know are nothing but low lives, according to records I'm nothing but a sorry excuse for space that can do nothing but choose the wrong company and break the law. Well guess what? This sorry excuse for space has people she loves. Someone she loves, a man that hasn't pressured her into anything, a man that loves her regardless of if she wants to sleep with him or not." The frustrated tears began to spill as she talked.

Danny had an unreadable expression for a moment before a slight guilt seeped in. He took something out of his pocket and put it in front of her on the desk before walking towards the door.

Elise wanted to get one last thing in. "And the womanizer part. If you're insinuating that he doesn't love me. He pulled me out of a burning car wreck. He could have left me there but he didn't."

The door closed behind her.
