Elise sat on her bed while the doctor looked at her head. She'd been awake for a week and according to them she was making good recovery.

If good recovery was having to learn how to move her body without her legs giving out, having splitting headaches and not knowing who she was could be seen as recovery.

Then sure, she was doing just fine.

There had been a few people visiting her. None that she could remember, even if they obviously knew her. Or at least who she was.

What she knew so far was that her name's Elise Jason, she's turned twenty during her coma, she loves cars, her best friends name since childhood was Sean.

And she had a pretty good grasp of most names of the ones that visited her regularly during the week. Sean, Twinkie, Earl, Neela and Reiko.

Apparently there was a lot more friends she'd made but they didn't want to crowd her.

Something she was thankful for.

"Elise?" Sean knocked lightly on the door as not to startle her.

"Hi, Sean." She noticed that he had a bag in his hand. "What do you have with you?"

He took a seat in the chair that had a permanent place by the side of her bed. "Some things to help. At least we hoped it might help." He handed her the bag.

The young woman just shrugged and opened it to see it was filled with stuff.

"Everyone wanted to help in some way. It's some of your things, a few latters and a small album with pictures."

Elise looked around a bit in the bag, but just like with the phone he'd given her last time she wasn't sure if she had the energy to look through it. "Do you want to take a walk?" She asked.

Sean nodded and helped her get her warmer flannel on. She'd been allowed to wear her own clothes the day before.

As they sat on a bench outside Elise was happy to feel sunlight on her face. "Can I ask you something?"

He nodded. "Sure."

"Do I have parents? I mean, no one's visited me and said they're my mom or dad."

Sean hesitated, mulling over the best way to answer it in his head. "Your mom has been dead for many years, and you never really got along with your dad."

She nodded slowly. "Okay." The information wasn't something that really bothered her too much. There was some feelings but nothing she felt wasn't already made peace with.

The two friends sat together for a few hours, Elise asking questions and Sean telling stories of things that they'd done together.
