Chapter 30 Saving Ramsay

Third pov

After a nod from Dom, Han took Elise to somewhere more quiet. She looked like she'd been through hell, even though he was sure they had let her clean up.

The kitchen like area they were allowed to use was empty and he let her sit on the counter while he looked through the fridge. He found pre-made sandwiches and took a coke that he handed to her. He knew Rome would be laughing if he saw him right now, but he'd started thinking the woman he loves was dead. He could afford to be dotting, damn it!

The woman in question eagerly dug into said sandwich while she let him check her arm. Once they were done they just, stood there, holding each other.

"What happened?" His voice was muffled against her shoulder.

"I was on my way back home. I had been talking with Takashi. There was a man staring at me from accross the street and then someone knocked me out from behind." Elise let herself breathe easy now that she was back with Han, but the uneasy feeling in the back of her head wouldn't let her relax completely.

"We looked for you everywhere..."

Everyone watched the two leave. The relief on Han's face hadn't been missed by anyone and while everyone got to packing Dom went to the kitchen. He noted that the girl was still incredibly weary.

"Han. Have you told her yet?"

Han shook his head. "No."

She - Elise watched him. "Then it's best you do. She's coming with us."

Time skip

Elise gripped the hem of her shirt. The plane's noises didn't help her one bit in keeping calm. She felt Han's eyes on her but she couldn't bring herself to tell him that it felt like a switch had been flipped somewhere. After her kidnapping. It just wasn't something she had time to process, and she knew that she needed to. But being in a car crash, then being kidnapped and drugged didn't make sorting her head out easier.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Han gently untangled her grip on her shirt and let her grip one of his hands

"This is a lot to take in." She mumbled. She heard the plane open and knew they were supposed to fall through the sky now.

The feeling of falling (even in a car) was something she had no desire to relive and she felt immense relief as they hit the ground.

They were supposed to get close to the bus transporting Ramsay, and while a guy named Brian took care of the guards inside she was supposed to get the hacker out. She had yet to decide if she was lucky or unlucky that they had told her that she could use her arm now for this.

"You ready?"

She nodded and kissed his cheek. "I'm ready."

Dom and the woman in the other car (Letty, was it?) got the back of the buss opened an Elise and Brian jumped.

The landing sent a jolt of pain through her left foot. While Brian knocked out the guards she found Ramsay. "Keys!" She caught them and unlocked the holding cell.

"We're here to help." She tried to calm the hysteric woman but it wasn't working much. Instead she sent a nod to Brian and they both got her to the back of the bus.

"We have to jump."

Ramsay shook her head and said something she couldn't catch.

Brian looked at her. "Jump!"

Elise didn't hesitate and jumped, landing on the hood of Dom's car.

It was rocky but she managed to get into the car and finally into the third seat that had been installed instead of a backseat. They got Ramsay inside just as another car hit them from the side and for a few horrible seconds Elise was in a different car, in a different part of the world.

Elise prayed to whatever god was willing to listen to let them out of this alive.

While Dom drove both girls tried to remember to breathe.

Elise tried to mentally prepare herself for when they drove off the cliff and without prompting took her helmet and put it on. She knew that Ramsay,  terrified already, was beginning to realise the situation and she pitied her as they hit the side of the cliff and she lost consciousness.

Elise is back in action and learning the more extreme ways of the Toretto crew. Will she be able to handle it?
