Third pov
Han helped Elise put the engine into the car the next day, now it was ready for driving. Elise looked ecstatic at the finished product. "Time to try it." She decided and got in. She looked at Han. "You coming too?" After a moment of surprise he nods and gets into the passenger seat.
The car worked better than expected as they drove past a lot of cars. Elise took every chance to drift that she got. She hadn't driven a car since they moved to Japan and the absolute freedom of drving made her feel giddy inside.
"I've missed driving. When we moved i had to sell the car I had. It wasn't the best car, and not the prettiest, but it was mine." She drifted along the mountain roads taking the turns beautifully.
Han smiled slightly at her peaceful expression. He'd already come to terms with the fact that he loved her.
He was pretty sure the others knew too, Sean had already threatened to hurt him if he hurt her.
To him it showed quite well how close Sean and Elise are. Not that he would hurt her. He got ripped from his thoughts as the car stopped on the top of the mountain. They got out and leaned against the hood of the car. "The view here is incredible."
Elise pov
You could even see the school in the distance. Without really thinking about it I rest my head on his shoulder. In response he wrapped an arm around me. "I wish everything could be this easy." He hummed and kissed the top of my head.
Time skip
We arrived back at the garage a few hours later. I barely got out before Reiko was there to hug me. "Why didn't you say it's your birthday?!"
I throw a quick glare to Sean, who gives me an apologetic look. "I don't celebrate my birthday."
Han chuckled as everyone looked at me like I'm crazy. "You don't celebrate your birthday?" Twinkies jaw dropped.
"No, usually I just hang out with Sean. Not much else to do."
Reiko shook her head. "That won't do. You gotta at least let us sing for you." Before I can protest the others burst out in "Happy birthday to you..."
I don't even try to hold back my giggles as I'm promptly pushed into a chair.
