Third pov
Danny Jason never wanted kids.
Yet, when he held his daughter for the first time he had felt that maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
Then only six months old Elise became deathly sick. Both he and Angie had worried themselves sick.
Elise survived but the once red hair had gone to white. No one were sure if it would stay that way.
Danny knew that Angie wasn't happy about him taking several steps back. She wasn't happy that he stopped acting like a father. Of course she was right to be angry.
He'd taken the easy way out instead of taking responsibility.
As the years passed Elise started resenting him. He couldn't blame her, yet he couldn't find the will to change that.
Not when he didn't even want to comfort her when Angela died. Not when instead of realizing she was a child he had just wished she could stop crying. Not when he was such a fuck-up as a father already.
Instead he had opted to stay out of her life for the most part.
He figured she'd be better off without him there to hate.
Now though. Now he wanted nothing more than to get her the hell away from the life she was living, but as luck would have it.
His daughter was more like him than he had ever wanted.
Short, i know. I wanted to give a little insight to Danny.
What do you think?
Vote and comment, it keeps me motivated :)
