Third pov

After a lot of hugs and happy birthdays to Elise most went back to what they were doing. Han and Elise worked on a car together, both missing the knowing glances from the rest. Neela had arrived earlier after a major fight with Takashi and currently sat with Sean drinking tea.

The sound of screeching tires sounded as Takashi pulled in with his gang in tow.

Elise pov

Han put the wrench he was holding down and went to meet Takashi as he got out. "Hey brotha." He was met with a punch to the face. My jaw dropped.

"I wouched for you. I put my reputation on the line for you! We were partners!" He had a steady grip on Han's shirt. "Think you can keep your side deals from me?!"

"Come on. This ain't the boy scouts. This is what we do." As soon as Takashi let go of him I got up behind him. Han used one arm to keep me behind him, not wanting to risk Takashi snapping at me I guess.

"Takashi!" Neela came down from the stairs with Sean in tow. Something in his look changed.

"What about now? Is this what we do?"

Third pov

He pulled a gun out and pointed it at Han. In response everyone that could took cover. Elise gulped and stayed behind Han. There was no way for her to get out of dodge. "You need me. You would still be shaking teahouses for chump-change if it wasn't for me."

Takashi took the safety off. "Takashi yamate!" Neela looked desperate.

Twinke pushed the button for the garge door so it went down slaming into Morimoto's car. It was all the distraction needed as Han hit Takashi, effectively knocking the gun out of his grip. Sean knocked Morimoto on his ass before getting into his car with Neela.

"Go go go!"  Han pushed Elise in front of him as they ran through corridors until they reached his car. They got in just in time as the two guys chasing them reached them and banged on the car.

Han drove out of the garage soon being followed by another car. Elise felt like vomiting as she put her seatbelt on. "You okay?" Han asked as he tried to loose the car following them. "I think so, what was that about?"

"His uncle found out I've been having side deals without telling them." The black car drifted so it was in front of them and Takashi shot through the window. Elise screamed and pressed herself closer to the door. He continued shooting and in an attempt to get away Han took a turn to the side.

They didn't have time to react as another car hit them from the side. The car flipped a few times before it stopped. Han had to take a moment to collect himself. Everything hurt.

"Han.. Han i can't feel my arm." Elise speech sounded slurred. Like she wasn't entirely awake.

Han looked at her and saw the state she was in. The once white hair was bloody and there was glass in it. She had blood running from her nose and mouth going down her forhead, he wasn't sure if he wanted to know the condition the rest of her was in. Sean stuck a hand through the window and helped Han out.

"Help me get Elise out." The two of them got her out just in time as when they had gotten her out the car exploded.

Han had an almost cramping grip on Elise as they sat on the ground. He looked at Sean. "You and Neela should go, I think an ambulance will be here soon." After a moments hesitation he nodded and left his best friend in Han's care.

In the black car a few hundred meters away Takashi looked at the scene. Han didn't care enough to look at him. Instead he focused his attention on Elise. "Hey sunshine, can you tell me where it hurts?"

Elise moaned in pain. "Everything. Can't feel my arm." She slurred her speech as she answered. She cried into Han's shirt, in pain and not being able to recognize why. "It's okay sunshine. Everything will be okay. I promise." He continued holding her and mumbling promises into her hair. He looked at her arm, wincing as it couldn't be anything other than broken with a piece of bone sticking out of her skin.
