Chapter 34 Bizzare sights

Third pov

When the call picked up Elise felt her throat close up.

"Hey, Sean."

"Elise? Where are you? What's happened? Where's Han?"

"I'm in LA. I was kidnapped by a man named Deckard Shaw but managed to escape and now I'm helping Han's old team take him and some other's down. Han is in the next room. How are you guys? What's happening at home?" She felt some anxiety rise in her throat.

"We're fine. You have to make sure you stay as safe as possible, okay? Twinkie and I are working on a new car. He wants to paint it a wolverine theme."

Han opened the door. "It's time."

Elise nodded. "I gotta go. I'll see you later okay? And tell Twinkie that Iron Man is better."

"We'll see each other soon. Take care. And don't worry, I'll tell him."

She hung up and tried a smile to suppress the adrenaline building.

Han pulled her in for a hug. "Stay safe."

She kissed him. "You too."

Time skip

Elise was the fourth car to get Ramsey and she sped through the streets until the drone tried to set it's sight on her. She passed the woman off to Tej and Roman just as her car was hit.

She hoped out but was caught in the blast and was thrown a lot farther.

She heard a crackling from the radio.

"Elise! Brian needs help at the tower. Can you get there?"

With a groan she picked it up and answered. "I got it."

The short asian man that dropped down in front of her had Elise seriously wondering who these guys were, because that was one hell of a bizarre sight. Much more wasn't possible as the man tried to hit her.

Her hand was already reaching for her switch blade. This wasn't the time to be nice.

As soon as he reached for her she plunged the blade into his arm before aiming a kick between his legs. As he doubled over in pain she started running up the stairs.

Brian saw the white haired woman with blood on her clothes come up the stairs. "Come on."

She helped him get up on the roof and then they both had to bend the box they needed open. He plugged his phone in to get Ramsey back online.

Elise felt some of her nerves settle.

Brian ruffled her head. "You did good. You did real good."
