After being given the pain meds, both me and Sean eating something and the others fussing over us it was time to go.
Going down the alleyway filled with very much armed yakuza members is nerv wracking and for the first time I find myself wondering what happens if they kill us. Who's going to prepare the funeral? Will the others be sad? I know Sean has parents that can attend but I doubt I can count on dad showing up. He'd probably be happy he wouldn't have to send money every month.
The guys around us let us walk further in until a guard stopps us at a door.
"We'd like to see mr Kamata please." The guard looks in the bag Sean is carrying and after a few seconds he lets us through.Third pov
Inside there was almost as many people as outside and to Elise it felt cramped.
A second man came and led them to a table where Neela, Takashi, Mr Kamata and a few more sat. Neela's eyes widened as she saw Elise and Sean. "Sean, Elise." She got up. "You need to leave."
Takashi hadn't seen how bad off Elise had actually been after the crash. And seeing her now made him feel guilty.
She was pale, paler than she'd been before and the cast on her arm and small cuts and bruises over her face and arms made her seem small, yet her presence seemed to take up the whole room.
He got up and into Sean's face. "You came to the wrong place."The hand on his chest made him pause in surprise. "I'm sorry, but he isn't here for you." Elise looked quite serious.
"Takashi. Who are your friends?" Kamata asked from the table. He was curious as to who the young man that had his nephew so riled up was, and the young woman who seemed to actually keep him calm.
Takashi turned back to him. "Nobody. I can handle this"
Elise took the bag from Sean and took a step forward. "We have something that belongs to you sir." She handed it to the guard like man beside Kamata.
The man showed it to the boss and he looked at Elise and Sean. "You think, you can walk in here, dump some cash and walk out?"
Now it was Sean's turn to speak. "We know we're only returning what belonged to you in the first place sir. But that's not what i really came here for. I came to apologize. I know your nephew and I have embarrassed ourselves badly.."
That didn't sit well with Takashi. "Don't listen to this gaijin."
Kamata gives him a look. "Takashi, after everything you've done, you're giving me orders?"
Quickly he bowed. "I apologize."
Elise felt the tension in the room. "Sir, we're here to offer a peaceful solution."
That got everyone's attention. "And how do you plan to accomplish that?"
"A race. No more at each others throats, no more fighting and no more questions. A race to see who really is the better driver." Takashi looked stuck between an unknown emotion and anger. She wasn't sure if it was directed at her though.
When Kamata didn't say anything in a long while she grew nervous. "What happened to your arm?" He asked with an unreadable expression.
"I was in an accident." It wasn't a lie, just not the whole truth.
Sean knew she deliberately chose not to say anything about Takashi's involvement and they couldn't call her a liar. Everything that happened between Morimoto crashing and the car driving into them was something only she, Han and Takashi knew of.
Kamata smirked at her confidence, judging by the look on his nephews face it wasn't the whole truth. "Very well, there will be a race. Until then you and your friends will be left alone. Also, if he wins," He motions to Sean. "Han goes free too."
On the way out Elise slipped Takashi a paper.

"I never want to do something like that again." I groan as Sean drives us back to the garage. "But at least we got out without injuries."
As we pull into the garage we're greeted by everyone. Reiko is the first to reach us and gives me a hug. "How did it go?"
"It went surprisingly well. There is going to be a race between Sean and Takashi." As the others talk to Sean I slip away and up to the couches. Han follows me. "If Sean wins you go free."
He humms. "And they will be leaving us alone until the race." I sigh. "If he doesn't win..."Han places a hand on my shoulder. "We'll take that if that day comes. Until then we do the best with the time we have." With a tired sigh I lean into his arms and he hugs me.
It seems that mr Kamata is quite impressed by Elise. What do you think was on the paper she slipped to Takashi?
