29. Hunter's Threat

"She can sleep here while I go to the meeting" we didn't hear Eliana walk back into the room but we both turned around to look at her, "you can both stay with her and there is no point in moving her while she is comfy, if you also need anything for her you can also just call reception and they can get it brought up so you don't have to take her anywhere" Ellie told us.

"I can stay and look after her, Mel you should really go to the meeting with Ellie, Rosie will be fine with me" I saw Mel looking from Rosie to Ellie and back again, she was torn, I knew that she wanted to stay with Rosie but we both don't need to be here and I don't have any work on at the moment.

"Please Mel, just let me stay with her" I guess you could say I was begging; I have never had her before when she is sick and I guess I am feeling a little guilty, I should be there for her all of the time.

Melanie nodded her head and looked back at Rosie "Is it ok if mommy goes to the meeting and leaves you with daddy baby". Rosie replied by simply nodding yes, Mel gave her a kiss on the forehead and whispered "if you need me you can get daddy to call me and I will come straight back ok".

Rosie whispered something back but I couldn't really hear what it was but I'm guessing it was just her saying ok because after that Mel stood up walked towards the door "I'll wait in the lounge room Ellie; we should be leaving soon" the she walked out of the room.

Ellie walked up and sat on the edge of the bed "are you feeling any better princess" she asked Rosie.

"A little, I sorry I sick on you" Rosie said sounding a bit panicked like she was going to get into trouble.

"That's ok princess I was starting to get really smelly anyway and I needed to come and have a shower, now I smell all better for my meeting, so you did me a favour" Ellie smiled down at her and Rosie's panicked face was flipped upside down.

"I miss you Ellie, I want you to come daddy's home again" Rosie quietly asked her probably thinking I couldn't hear her.

"Um" after a long pause Ellie continued "I don't know baby, how about if you are feeling better on Saturday, I will take you to the park in the morning, we can have a park play date and maybe get an ice cream, that's if its ok with mommy".

"Can daddy come too" Rosie asked

"I think daddy will be too busy to come to the park" Ellie was going to continue but I cut in.

"Of course, I can come to the park with you both on Saturday, I am free as a bird" I may have sounded a bit overjoyed at the fact that I would be able to spend some time with the both of them together.

Ellie's head flew around so fast and If looks could kill, I would be buried in the ground right now but I couldn't help but have a great big smile plastered on my face, my insides were jumping for joy.

"yay" Rosie practically shouted in joy before she realised that she was still feeling sick and rested her head back on the pillow. Ellie leant forward and kissed her forehead "Get some sleep princess and I will see you later" Rosie just nodded at her before she closed her eyes again.

Ellie got up and headed for the door but I quickly caught up to her, I didn't want her to walk out without talking to her or touching her again. I grabbed her hand in the doorway and she turned to look at me with a questioning look.

"Thank you" I whispered in her ear before I kissed her check.

"What for" she whispered back slightly breathless, I gained a little bit more hope in getting her back at this moment knowing that I still have a reaction on her heart and body the way she leant into me as I kissed her cheek and squeezed my hand harder, I'm not even sure if she realised the reaction her body has when it is near mine.
