I had to go into the office a bit early today, its Thursday and we have the walk through of the office building at 3pm today and I needed to make sure all forms are filled and pre-approval from the banks are in, I may be able to buy this building straight out but I still like to have property loans from the banks in order to keep the credit history solid, although with all the properties I do have I really don't think I need any more good credit scores, I barely need to fill out the paper work anymore before the banks send me an approval letter.

I have been shifting through the paperwork for the past 2 hours before Mel walks in with a fresh coffee for me, the smell alone made me stop what I was doing and reach for it.

"Good Morning Ellie" she said while passing me my coffee with a smile "I had a feeling you have been here for hours making sure everything was ready for this afternoon and by the looks of things you have been, so I thought you could use a fresh cup".

"You are a lifesaver Mel" I dreamily exclaimed as bought the cup to my mouth for a sip.

"Were you here late last night as well" she asked while taking a seat ready to take notes.

"Well yes but it was not entirely my fault" I said and when she raised an eyebrow at me, I thought I would elaborate "I was distracted with a phone call" I quietly said.

Her lips lifted up in a smile "Hmm a phone call, anybody I know, maybe one man in particular that happens to have the cutest daughter in the world" she asked as her smile got bigger.

I knew I was blushing but couldn't help the smile on my lips either "Maybe".

"Well, that's good anyway, Bella Maple did call and left a message asking if it was possible to come in Monday afternoon, I will call her back to confirm it with her. I can see you are fully on top of everything for the meeting at 3 with Mr Hemmings, if that is all I will go back and get to the rest of the emails for the available position and continue to send them to Damian" she said.

"Thank you, Mel, that is all" I said savouring another sip of my hot coffee.

5 minutes break to finish my coffee will not kill me, I relaxed back on my seat and thought back to the last two nights, Hunter called both nights just after 8pm. On Tuesday night he was shocked that I was still at work and I couldn't help but tell him all about the bakery and Bella and running into his father, I didn't tell him anything his father said I thought it would make things too uncomfortable, we are not in a position to be that open with each other, I am still guarding myself when it comes to him. He asked me to have dinner with him and I turned him down, I can talk to him on the phone but I still don't think I am ready to see him.

Last night he asked me all different kinds of things like what was my favourite food and my favourite colour, things that you would ask someone on a first date. We had a nice light conversation no big topics, he knew I was in the office again and at first started telling me I shouldn't be working so late but he soon changed his direction when I went quiet and I refused to talk to him, I probably would have hung up on him if he didn't change course, at the end I turned him down for dinner again but did explain that I am just not ready to see him yet but I also told him I did like talking to him.

I went to take another sip of my coffee but the cup was empty, why is the coffee always gone. Well maybe it was time to stop day dreaming and get back to work.

At noon, Mel came into the office looking a bit frantic "Ellie I need to go get Rosie from day care, she is not feeling well, I'll run down and get her and come back up and we will work out something for the meeting today" she rushed out.

She didn't wait for a reply she just took off to the elevators, I was going to tell her to take Rosie home and I will sort everything out but didn't have a chance, I will tell her when she gets back. I am now really glad I had a day care set up for the employees so she does not have to go too far to get Rosie.
