8 months, I can't believe it has already been 8 months since Hunter and I started planning the wedding. So much has happened and as I sit here in my room reminiscing about all the ups and downs, we have had, I can't help but be grateful for all the things we do have.
I sit on the chair in front of the mirror and even though my make-up has been done to perfection, the dress fits perfectly an off the shoulder sweetheart neckline but as I look at myself, I still can't help but feel something is missing.
I slightly jumped when I heard a knock at the door, "come in" I called out, Bianca walked in with Rosie. "Hey Elle, Mel is getting her make up done and Rosie really wanted to come and see you" she told me as she led Rosie into the room.
I held out my arms for Rosie to come to me but she had a somewhat stunned looked on her face and it was like she was frozen, she had on the most gorgeous flower girls dress, white satin and lace, it flared out at the bottom and right before I was about to say the words she spoke "You look like a princess" she whispered.
A smile lit up my face and I replied "Really, I was going to say the same thing about you", she timidly walked over almost afraid that she would break me if she came any closer, just as she was in arms reach, I picked her up and put her on my lap and then tickled her and she couldn't help but laugh at me, we ended up hugging each other while laughing together.
I suddenly looked up at Bianca who was wiping a tear from her eye, one thing that has changed and it has only changed in the last week was that Bianca and Marcus broke up, we overheard a conversation, the guys were sitting on the patio talking at the penthouse and they didn't realise we had gotten back, Marcus was telling the guys about his last trip to see his mum where his ex-girlfriend was now living with her with her 3 year old son claiming that it is Marcus's child that's not what had Bianca in a fuss though it was the fact that he admitted having second thoughts about their wedding because of things that his mother was saying about her, apparently his mother never got over him and his ex-breaking up so she was making it difficult for him to move on. Oh, and the fact that he never told Bianca anything that went on or how he was feeling, played a big part in her decision to leave him, he didn't even tell her that for the whole week he went to visit his mum a month ago that he was staying under the same roof as his ex that claimed to have a child with him.
"Are you ok Bee" I asked her quietly, "Nope, you don't get to do this on your day Ellie, you don't get to ask how I am, I am great and I am going to be fantastic all day, this is going to be the best day of your life" she said trying to give me a genuine smile. One more thing I forgot to mention was last night while the girls and Damian were at my place chilling, Bianca had a positive pregnancy test, she said that when Rachel and James had Xavior about 6 months ago, they became a bit careless with using protection right up until the day Marcus left to visit his mum and when he came home, he had barely touched her, looked at her or even talked to her, she knew something was up.
I have never met Marcus's mum before, but she did RSVP for the wedding, Hunter invited her as he has a lot of memories growing up with her around, after all he treated his best friend like brothers, he spent a lot of time with all of their families, so it will be interesting to see how she reacts knowing that Bianca is one of my bridesmaids.
"I'll let you and Rosie have a moment, while I go and fix up my face" Bianca told me as she was rushing out of the room.
I looked at Rosie giving her my full attention "You really do look like a princess; you know that sweetheart".
A slight blush showed on her checks with a beautiful smile but all of a sudden, she looked serious.
"Ellie, do you love my daddy" she asked me a bit shyly.
