Did other people also have weird thoughts while running, Team wondered. Maybe they didn't because they were actually normal. He actually did know what it meant to be normal, he just didn't feel like it right now. Team was sweating now but when he touched his fingertips, they were still cold. He was cold, he was freezing and the iciness left him devoid of any emotion. He had the tendency to either feel everything or to feel nothing and right now, he felt nothing at all. He didn't feel like himself but he didn't feel like anyone else either."Team!" It was the voice of Dean. Recently, practice had been more of working out than actual swimming. They were running and exercising to ensure their bodies were in right condition. Most boys were annoyed at the whole thing including Team (Swimming was fun but running and exercising were things he was too lazy for) but now he didn't really mind it. He was really just beginning to go with whatever happened without putting up a fight. After all, what good could resistance do when he didn't know what he was fighting for.
"Do. Not. Overwork. Yourself." His stern voice seemingly irritated Team for a bit before Team faked a smile and nodded.
"Meet me after practice." Dean spoke again and Team raised his eyebrows in curiosity.
"Is this really 'practice' though?" Another guy spoke who had just caught up with him.
"Two more rounds for ya." Win spoke from somewhere behind as Team stopped in his tracks because where the hell did he come from?
"Now when I said 'don't overwork yourself' I didn't mean you could stop Team." Dean shouted.
"I know." He continued his run without glancing back. Forward was the only way to go.

"You wanted to see me?" Team stood slumped against the wall as he fidgeted with the strap of his bag.
"Yeah...um....are you okay?" Dean spoke awkwardly."
"Yeah."
"It's only been two weeks... since....you know."
It had been two weeks since the 'break up' although to Team, it definitely felt more than that.
"Break ups are hard." Dean said again.
"How would you know?" Team questioned without thinking.
Dean raised his eyebrows as he sighed. "You know it's not my place to tell you this because Win told me not to but.....he's been miserable without you. Like really miserable so can you at least talk to him? Just let him know that you're okay."
"If he wants to talk to me, he can do it by himself." He snarked.
"Ah, I see how it is. You aren't really mad at him anymore but you're still letting your ego get the best of you." He spoke and then smirked, as if he solved the hardest mystery of this world. Team couldn't help but smile at Dean's covert childishness which he so conveniently masked by being charming and stern all the time.
"I mean... I do not know what hia is thinking." Team said.
"I just told you. He wants you back but he doesn't know how to communicate with you again because you seemed to be really angry with him."
"I'm not going to talk to him first."
"But you will talk to him if he comes to talk to you?"
"No promises." He shrugged nonchalantly.
Well, no shit, he was dying to talk to Win. He missed him more than he thought he would. He tried to be sanguine about the whole situation but in retrospect, he knew that it was impossible for him to be frivolous about the whole affair especially because if he had learned anything from being with Win, it was that keeping everything in would only make everything worse. Now, he had more doubts about their relationship than ever. He didn't even know if they were compatible and even if they were, was the relationship even that serious? He didn't know how he could keep all the negative thoughts at bay but even the chaos and confusion didn't make him love the blond boy any less. He might be upset and insecure but he still missed him nevertheless. He didn't know what to do with the dual nature of his consciousness.
When he walked out of the door, his thoughts were racing and his head felt heavy, that was when he knocked into someone. He must've mumbled something like 'sorry' or maybe 'excuse me', it was too minuscule of a thing to remember because when he looked up, he was looking into the eyes he had been searching for all that time. At that time, it truly felt like a fever dream of some sort or maybe, Team was actually feverish from all the running and the anxiety he was feeling. Regardless, he heard Win say- "Can I talk to you?"
It was almost funny how Dean's heads up proved to completely useless because the confrontation he would've have prepared for was happening right in the moment.
Team couldn't help but feel giddy because he was talking to him again but he also felt anxious as hell so the negative feelings evened the positive ones out.

A/N: first of all, i'm sorry cause this was a late update. second, nothing much really happens in this chapter except i wanted y'all to know that team wants to be with win so bad but he's also like 'what if he breaks my heart' and 'i hate that we keep fighting and i don't wanna fight again'. third, this was a very short chapter but.... this chapter was supposed to be short in the first place because i just wanted to give you a little peek into team's mind.
anyway, why this update took me so long is because i am a student and i gotta study but also because i got the flu in between and then i got vaccinated so yeah i have been busy.
don't worry, the next chapter will be more interesting.
also challenge for me: complete this ff before between us airs? or maybe not? cause i love writing it?
thanks for reading <3
