Win got up lazily to answer the door. As soon as he woke up, he felt fatigue rushing up to his veins. He wanted to lie down again but instead, he opened the door.
"Hi."
The boy in front of him spoke as he entered his apartment without so much as warning the blonde boy. Win felt something shift in him as he looked at the now empty hallway and without much hesitation, he shut the door in front of him.
"Why did you not pick up my calls?" The shorter boy was now sitting on his bed, not giving away any emotion making Win more and more irritated by the second.
"No reason."
"Huh?"
"No reason."
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Now, the taller boy was holding onto his shoulder as he knelt in front of him on the cold floor. Team spoke nothing as Win shook his shoulders. It was not supposed to be so confusing for him but it was.
"Is it about me hanging out with my friend for that project?" Win spoke as he exasperatedly pushed back his messy hair.
"If I was that mad at you, I wouldn't have come to your apartment."
"Okay?"
"I am just tired."
"Okay."
"Now don't be like that."
"I am not being like anything. You are the one who did not answer any of my texts or pick up any of my calls."
"Well...... you shouldn't have expected that much from me to begin with."
"I don't expect anything from you. I just wanted you to pick up your fucking phone and tell me that you are fine. I don't know what the hell is wrong with you and I won't know until you tell me but you are really getting on my nerves right now."
"I am?"
"Why are you even here?"
"I just...... Fine. I will go then." Team spoke. Win was surprised at how much of a jerk Team was being and that too for no goddamn reason.
"Hey Hia Win?" Team spoke as he got up to leave. Win looked up at the boy to see his expressionless face.
"What?"
"Forget about it."
Win just shrugged as he climbed on the bed once again. Now, he was colder than before. Team had come back but he was being so weird. Team was still in his apartment but Win could already hear the sound of door opening and closing and his heart breaking at the all too familiar sound. Team was still in his apartment when Win felt a tear escape his eye. Win was shocked to feel the wetness on his cheek. Win never cried and yet, here he was. Whoever said that love only brings happiness was the biggest fool of all the time.
When Team looked back at the older boy again, Win could finally look through him- not really but just enough to know that Team was still there- not physically but just there for him even in his moments of ruthlessness. It was a look only Win could decipher because he knew that the kindhearted boy in front of him would never ever dare to hurt someone intentionally and he knew that the moment of pain would pass.
"Hey. Are you crying?" Win didn't even realise that he had shed a tear or two or three in a few seconds. Win was new to crying so he didn't realise how it worked. Win was supposed to be stronger for both of them and here he was, crying in front of the love of his life. But the thing was that he was weak- now so much than ever. When Team asked him the question in his usual, beautiful voice, Win felt more tears escape and now he was angrier and that made him want to cry even more.
In an instant, Team was hugging him and he was nuzzling against the young boy's neck. Sometimes, it was nice to be vulnerable. It was so nice to be vulnerable and weak and pathetic and terrible. It was so much easier to be sad than to be happy. Win was supposed to be the stronger one- in his family, in his friendships and even in his relationships but sometimes it took just a second for all your walls to break and for you to finally come undone.
"Hey. Don't worry, I'm here for you." Team spoke.
Win silently cried as he said nothing.
Frankly, he didn't even know why he was crying. Maybe, it was something about that cold winter day or it was just his facade of almost a decade coming down forcefully. It felt so bad that it kind of felt too good.
"I'll always be there for you. Always."

A/N: I am kinda sorry for the sad chapter (not really).
Also, I haven't been updating much because I've been really busy and all the stress is too overwhelming. My mental health is shit right now. I don't even know how I am doing whatever I am doing.
