Wow. I guess I did it. I wrote my first story.
First of all I would like to thank anyone who has read or is reading this! I still remember the first notification I got on Wattpad, telling me someone had added my story to their reading list. I had about 300 reads then. I was over the moon, filled with excitement with the idea that someone would read this.
I keep saying how important it is to me for people to read my story as I have always felt pretty insecure about my writing. In my family, my sister has always been the one with outstanding writing skills and that made me feel like this was not my area. I never write, not even for myself but this came bursting out of me and I had to write it.
The story would unfold in my head during the day, and at night time I would sit on my laptop writing for hours and hours, deleting, re writing, researching. I have put my heart in this and I truly hope it shows.
I'd like to give a special thanks to those who spend time leaving kind words in the comments, know that they are not overlooked, nor taken for granted. It makes me feel confident and worthy.
On a more personal note, I would like to just say how AMAZING this community is. Not just here on Wattpad, but generally the fanfics around Draco and Wizarding World as a whole. I have never felt so belonging somewhere as much as I do here. I am so happy I am here with all of you, supporting each other and our own journeys. I struggle with anxiety and depression, which is not something I share often with people, but then again, neither do I share spicy stories with people. But here I feel safe to open up, to speak with you guys and feel appreciated, ALWAYS.
