hwamin and junkyu, childhood sweethearts once dreamed of achieving their idol dreams together, but what happen...
"I give up," you fall back to your seat dramatically. "I'm scrapping this song. I give up."
Junkyu laughs at that, cracking his neck as he stretches his arms in the air. "We just need a little break. I know you like this song too much to scrap this one."
"No," you say stubbornly with a frown. "I'm scrapping this song."
"Because you can't come up with the last two lines of the song?"
"Yes."
He laughs again before standing up from his seat "Come on, let's rest a little before we go back to finishing the lyrics."
Your boyfriend sits down on the sofa, straightening his legs and arms as he does so. He lets you be for a moment, your head miserably leaning on the table and your hair covering your face.
After a minute or so, he calls you again. You just lazily turn your head to the side, looking at him through your hair.
He had agreed helping you with the song for the next comeback.
Junkyu pats the space next to him impatiently, telling you to take the space next to him. You grumble some more before eventually complying.
To his surprise, you plop down your whole body on the sofa, your head comfortably landing on his thighs.
"You're heavy," he says with his usual annoyed tone, "Go away. I shouldn't have told you to sit here."
You just let out an amused laugh, instead settling your head comfortably on his lap. "No. Maybe this change will help me conjure lyrics."
It's a complete lie and an outrageous attempt at making Junkyu stay close to you, cuz you had missed him, both of you were so busy with your comebacks.
"What are you thinking that hard for?" He finally breaks the silence after seeing you frown for quite a while.
"Lyrics," you simply answer.
He chuckles a little, his hand stops caressing your head only to mess up your hair before continuing to go through them again. "Don't think too hard. It's a cute love song, after all. Just gotta be relatable and let out what's on your mind the way it is."
You stay silent after that, staring up at him as if his words are ringing bells in your mind. He's about to ask if you're okay when you quickly stand up, turning to him to drop a kiss on his cheek before hurriedly going back to your working chair and start typing on your monitor.
Junkyu's left gaping stupidly at the sofa, one hand covering the spot you just kissed as his heartbeat rings loudly in his ears.
