A/N
Apologies my reader! I had to rebuild this chapter from scratch as the previous version was a bit too tacky and less... spicy. Added some mild spice to the brew, but it took a day later for me to upload this. Hope ya'll enjoy this one!
When they had only two weeks left for their summer break, Rey and Cedric decided to return to England.
Beau decided to stay back at the residence to do some preparation for his upcoming term in Ilvermony. Adrian had to return early to England because the minister of magic himself, Cornelius Fudge, have summoned him for a non-disclosureable reason. Being so, Rey's parents decided to accompanied them to the airport for their flight back there.
As soon as the jet landed back in Heathrow, Adrian already waited for them outside. Leaning on his sleek black car, Rey's oldest brother crossed his arms and tapped his feet impatiently.
"Rushin on somewhere?" Rey inquired.
"No time to chat, get in. I gotta send you two back home." Adrian eyed the suroundings warrily.
The ride to his house was silent. Cedric could tell that Adrian was a bit anxious from his erratic driving. He personally never took a car from and to his home, considering that he didn't have one. Once or twice Adrian would tapped the steering wheel as if he was making up his mind, but Cedric knew well enough to not bother him. When they exited the highway, they quickly arrived at the quaint outskirt of Ottery St. Catchpole.
"All right, we're here." Adrian announced to the both of them before heading out straight for the trunk.
Cedric muttered a thank you when Adrian helped him with his trunk. He, along with Rey, were more than shocked when Adrian also pulled out Rey's heavy luggages and took it to the front door.
"Are you kicking me out?" Rey went after his brother in disbelief, to which Cedric didn't hear any response out of him.
Cedric took his luggages with his both hands and went into the living room. Adrian apparently already brought Rey's luggage to his room and was explaining something to Rey in hushed tones. He only could hear some of the words faintly, stay, don't wander, and be safe. The older boy -along with Rey- then went to his parents before went out the door. On the way out, Adrian pulled him over for a pep talk.
"Listen, about you and my brother," He scratched the back of his head. "I completely won't mind about it." Cedric could catch a but coming after.
"But," There it was.
"I just have to ask you keep him safe, ey?" worries and vulnerability painted all over the usually brooding face.
"Of course I would keep him safe."
"Good, good." He smiled before turning his smile into something wicked before leaning down to his ears. "Cuz if you're the one who'll do the hurting, I'll burn you alive." Adrian whispered threateningly, making him gulped.
"Though initially I've had some doubts, I decided to just believe in you." Adrian's expression returned to his charming smile before gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Bye now, Diggory." The older boy bid his goodbye, with a jar of cookies on his hand.
"Unbelieveable. I just left you alone for a few minute and he already went after your neck like that. Can't he seriously leave you alone?" Rey muttered as he hugged him from behind.
"You saw all that and you didn't help me?" Cedric chuckled.
"Hey, he saw me and he left you. Aren't you a lucky one?" Rey jabbed his side, making him laugh.
